Good Influence.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

When we can’t sleep using our CPAP Machines the entire night it takes nearly a Week before we fully recover from that. Thankfully we both slept like rocks last night but still felt like we were tired when we sat down for breakfast this morning.

The Sun was shining brightly making me want to go outside until I noticed all the people walking on the Ganatchio Trail were all bundled up. Taking my Coffee to my Computer the first thing I did was to check the outside temperature. When I saw the 38 MPH Wind Gusts were making it feel like -8 F (-22 C) I decided to stay in.

The next thing I checked out was Job Advertisements. When I got to the third page I saw the name of my former employer listed but that was not unusual because Indeed would often do that then list multiple companies lower on the page. Imagine my surprise when I saw separate ads for, Maintenance Welder, General Labourer, Shipping and Receiving Clerk, Forklift Operator and Quality Technician all listed for the Company.

I often write that I treat people the way I want to be treated, with respect. Yesterday after collecting my Pay-Cheque from Paul he seemed broken but he only has his Alcoholism to blame. As I was leaving the parking lot a few of the Workers came over to wish me the best and Kathy saw Paul looking out the Employees Entrance. It appears that I might have had more influence on some people then I thought.

I even found another Job Page listed in the Windsor Star so I applied for a couple of jobs that I had not yet seen listed on Indeed. Later in the day they finally showed up and all the Company Ads had been removed.

For lunch we had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches along with a Cup-of-Soup and a Fruit Cup for dessert.

Yesterday had been so busy that there were still a couple loads of Laundry to do. Surprisingly I had the Laundry Room to myself. Between the wash and dry cycle I was reading Blogs and checking out Ads. Once everything was in the Dryers I started doing more Data Entries and managed to do quite a few because the Dryers didn’t do their job the first time out. I returned on time to see the 6 o’clock Local News but they were reporting about the Ottawa Blockade being dismantled and not the Active Coronavirus Cases for the Windsor/Essex Region.

For supper we shared a Store Bought Medium Thin Crust Chicken Pizza.

The Weather Network showed we had a high temperature of 19 F (-7 C) today but we should see some Above Freezing Temperatures for a few days.

I finished the one Data entry file while watching a CNN Special about the 60’s. They covered the Assassination of President John F Kennedy.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Why does Superman get invited to dinners?

Because he is a supper hero.

  1. Hopefully tomorrow will bring you a new and more rewarding opportunity. Alcohol ruins a lot of lives a little at a time 😔

  2. It's not just the alcohol, it's his business sense. Too bad.

  3. Does the ad mean others quit too? Probably.

  4. Well, Paul has made his bed & must sleep in it. The only folks I have empathy for are the employees who have not or are unable to develop sufficient skills or whose backgrounds may restrict their freedom to move on or grow their earning potential.
Maybe its time to schedule a meet up with Ivan....your readers are curious Rick....Lol.
