Another Application, Back and Forth.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

After getting things set up last night before going to bed when I saw 6:20 on the Clock this morning I knew it was Time. Time to get things started. It was still dark outside so I simply closed the Bedroom Door and turned the Light on.

By 7:40 I was down in the Second Floor Laundry Room. It was empty so I had all the Washers to myself. Once everything was loaded I was about to add the coins. That’s where I ran into a problem. One of the Machines only takes Quarters and I was one shy.

Today's bright spot.

The only thing I could do was go back to the Apartment. It was just past 8:00 so I started getting things ready for breakfast. Kathy heard the Water Kettle pop and nearly jumped out of bed. When I explained my problem she remembered having a Quarter in her purse.

Back in the Laundry Room I had just started that last Washer when the others began stopping. With Three Dryers going that gave me a few minutes to go have a sip of my Coffee and turn on the Computers before heading back again.

Someone else was doing their washing when I returned so I filled the last dryer before going back to the Apartment again. I actually finished my Coffee and found a Job Ad just posted this morning. There was just enough time to apply before going back.

One Dryer was finished its cycle so I passed it over to the waiting tenant. I’d barely finished folding the bedding when another Dryer stopped. Again the waiting tenant was happy. When the next Dryer stopped I was not Happy. The clothes were as wet as when they were put in. With all the other Dryers busy I emptied the last one with our clothes on the Folding Table and replaced them with the Wet Clothes.

With all but that one load to fold I brought everything else back to the Apartment and put away what I could.

Back to the Laundry Room I realized that I had spent most of the morning travelling back and forth which is totally unlike me. I normally leave One or Two Times not Five before returning with everything folded.

We were having lunch right on time and the laundry was over. We had Italian Wedding Soup along with a slice of Chocolate Chip and Walnut Bread that our daughter Karen sent home with us on Sunday as well as a Mandarin Orange for dessert.

Kathy had spent the morning Vacuuming and Dusting the Apartment so we both spent the afternoon getting caught up on our morning reading. I think my eyes closed on me a few times. More Coffee and a few walks helped me finish getting caught up.

For something easy we had a Medium Store Bought Thin Crust Canadian Pizza for supper with another Mandarin Orange for dessert topped off with a cup of Coffee.

On the 6 o’clock Local News they mentioned 40 New Coronavirus Cases in the Windsor/Essex Region bringing the total of Active Cases to 384.

Due to the heavy Cloud Cover today’s high temperature of 54 F (12 C) lasted all of a Half Hour around 5:00 this afternoon. Quite a bit different from the weekend.

We later watched “Nancy Drew”. Think we’ll be in bed early tonight.

  1. You sure got an early start this morning. At least you got the laundry out of the way.

I hope the caffeine from your dinner coffee does not keep you up this evening.
