After a better night’s sleep we were both enjoying breakfast by 9:00 this morning. While Kathy was still waking up she asked “What happened to Summer?”. The truth is this Spring has been plagued by colder then normal temperatures for this time of year. In one sense it allows the ground to hold more of the necessary moisture for the Plants, Trees and Grass to make it through the coming warm season but for the rest of us we are ready for some warm Sunshine.
There were a number of Job Ads that appeared at different times throughout the day. As mentioned in other Blogs the only reason I wouldn’t apply for them would be that I already had, I am not qualified or they are across the province.
While reading Blogs there were some that I had catching up to do. As I’ve mentioned many times if your Blog is on our Sidebar I will read each and every post. Some days if I’m too busy it might take a day or two but I will read your Blog. For those that only see the Twenty-Five that show on the Sidebar just click the words “Show More” at the bottom of the list and you will see the entire list of Blogs we follow. The list is over a Hundred and many have not written for some time but some have started writing again.
We had Chicken and Rice Soup for lunch along with Grapes as well as the last of the Homemade Chocolate Chip with Nuts Bread that our daughter Karen sent home with us last Sunday.
We were just finishing our lunch when we received a call from Joel the building Handyman. We’ve had a problem with a burner on our Kitchen Stove that I reported to him. He does all the repairs in the building unless it involves Electricity. When I opened the door here was a Licensed Electrician with the part and his tools to do the job. Fifteen Minutes later our Stove was now fully functional.
I spent more of the afternoon finishing reading all the Blogs that needed catching up.
We had a Medium Store Bought Thin Crust Pizza for supper. We are finding it better to have Thin Crust as we are eating less Carbs and Store Bought means it costs a lot less then even the pizza outlets.
We were planning on watching the Local News but gave up on that at 6:10 when the Golf Tournament was only starting the Seventeenth Hole.
We watched a couple of Hallmark Movies before watching the 11 o’clock Local News from London. There were 37 New Coronavirus Cases in the Windsor/Essex Region today. That brought the Active Cases to 348 of which 178 were Variants of Concern. We also recorded 2 New Coronavirus Deaths bringing the Total to 416 in the area.
Kathy and I would like to wish all our Female Readers a Happy Mothers Day. Many areas like our’s are still discouraging in person get-togethers for a while longer but hopefully that will change soon as more of us become Vaccinated.
Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion or is Spam.
