Should Have Known Better.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I should have known better, than to think I’d finally beat the Sleep Problem. I spent most of the night tossing and turning from the Hip/Leg Pain and finally just got out of bed around 7:30, readied things for breakfast and went to my Computer until Kathy got up. She said she still felt tired. Probably from getting bounced around all night.

The Wind was really blowing but the temperature was 57 F (14 C) at that early hour.

Breakfast was a Muffin and Juice along with a Coffee at the Computers. We were able to get a few things taken care of On-Line.

Lunch was a Bacon/Veggie Omelette with Iced Tea.

After seeing Flurries outside we checked The Weather Network to find the temp was down in the Mid-Thirties, 36 F (2 C). That meant wearing heavier coats when we headed out. That didn’t matter because the Wind seemed to go right through us.

I had an appointment at Wyandotte Chiropractic Center and was lucky enough to park right out front. I had spoken about how the first Surgeon had referred me to another, saying he was too booked to fix me up. Richard heard that Dr A was no longer doing surgeries, but was acting as a Referral Service to others. I’ve been unable to talk to anyone at Surgeon B’s office, so I might be back to see Dr A again. I had waddled into the Office but walked out, though not with as much spring in my step as I’d hoped for. Kathy had patiently waited in the Car even though it was getting colder.

We headed to Wendy’s where we used a Coupon to get supper. Those ladies are starting to remember how I order. Do you think we’re going there too often?

When we headed back to the Car, the Wind nearly blew us over. Since Kathy has a hard time breathing in the Wind, I dropped her off at the front entrance before parking the Car. I should have known better, but I went in the rear entrance. The Wind nearly blew me over a few times and I was frozen by the time I got in the building.

As soon as I fired up my Computer, I checked to find the temperature was 27 F (-3 C), but with the Wind it felt like 12 F (-11 C). Lucky for us the Wind will slow down for tomorrow.

I was about to take a break from the Computer, when I spotted something shiny in our rug. Since Kathy could not see it I bent over to try and pick it up but didn’t grab my Cane. I should have known better, because I then had to crawl over to a Chair in order to get back on my feet. That won’t be happening again for a while.

  1. We're supposed to have some wind by Saturday but we're having some really nice weather.
Hopefully you have put extra lead in the shoes to keep from blown away.
    Stay warm.
