Mary Brown’s and Reunion

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

The see-saw continues, as we both slept like a couple of rocks last night. Don’t know what happened on Friday to cause us problems.

Kathy did sleep a bit later this morning, probably due to nearly Chocking last night. We talked about it at breakfast, where she said her throat was still sore, where the Cough Drop had lodged itself. Next time she’ll wait to talk, for Safety’s Sake.

The Sun was shining brightly, but the 35 MPH Southwest Wind Gusts were really rattling the Balcony Rail. Rather than continuing to listen to the racket we decided to go out for lunch.

Recently a new Mary Brown’s Chicken outlet opened not far from our building. I checked them out On-Line to find it to be part of a Canadian Brand. There are hundreds of locations across Canada and another one happened to be on the west side of Windsor.

It was very clean and moments after making our choice the food was delivered to our table. Do any of you remember the Large Meaty Pieces of Chicken, that used to be sold at restaurants? That’s what we got, along with Coleslaw, Potato Wedges and a Soft Drink. There were no Coupons used today, but this meal was so worth it. We ate inside.

In an attempt to walk some of those Calories off, we went to Canadian Tire. We both wanted to check some things out, so we each used a Shopping Cart. It was at that point I saw they had the Collapsible Laundry BasketsOn Sale” for less than the solid ones. After Eight Years, our’s decided to split, so that problem was resolved. Also found a Pickup Grip in the Gardening Section that was longer, stronger and cheaper that the one in the Personal Needs Section.

As we turned to head out, we ran into Dwayne a former Coworker in the Casting Plant. He even remembered meeting Kathy at this same store about Two Years ago. That was a Ten-Minute Reunion we both enjoyed.

Back at the Apartment the Pickup Grip has already been used a few times. Once for picking up a business card, without bending it. Well designed.

The Wind has just slowed a bit, so we are looking ahead to a Springlike Day tomorrow.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. That chicken sounds delicious! I swear Americans restaurants are serving pigeons, the pieces are so small! I also use a pickup tool. It has kept me from falling on my face. I never would have thought to find it in the gardening section.

  2. Good to know that you still get your moneys worth at some restaurants without sacrificing on quality.
