The Website Lied.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Even though there were a lot of repairs that needed to be done today, others already had some of those particular Feedscrews mounted in their machines, getting them that one step closer to completion.

The Experimental Bearing Hard-Surfacing Material that we used on the Bearing Surface last week was working well, until it was ground another Twenty/Thousandths deeper. At that point a colour difference was noted. With the light tap of a Hammer you could hear the dull sound of Powder Coating that had not bonded to the Base Material.

The Base had been maintained between Five and Seven Hundred Degrees which is optimal for welding Stainless Steel. Both the outer edges, the beginning and finish were totally solid but the center section had failed to adhere to the Shaft. There was additional grinding done but the welding is a job to be started early in a day.

It was another Banner Day when I had the chance to sit down for my lunch and talk to Kathy. I had her go On-Line to verify that the Service Ontario Offices would be open today, as a lot of places take Easter Monday off. Since it showed they were open, I made plans to pick Kathy up after my shift, so we could replace our Stolen License Plates today.

The rest of my afternoon was more repairs until the Argon Cylinder on the TIG Machine went empty. There weren’t any full Cylinders in the storage compound, so I cleaned up for the day.

Everyone knew about our Stolen Plates and allowed me to be the first to Punch Out. I let Kathy know I was on my way using the Truck’s Hands Free System and she met me at the Front Entrance as Planned.

It was 4:05 when we pulled into the Service Ontario parking lot. The sign on the door contradicted what was posted on their Web-Site. All that rushing and they were Closed, which means that Kathy will be without a vehicle again tomorrow.

We went to Burger King to have supper. By using a Coupon it cost a lot less.

After eating we headed to the Bulk Barn, before going to the Zehr’s grocery store to pick up needed supplies, of which some were “On Sale”.

Back at the Apartment it would take until the 6 o’clock Local News started to get everything put away. Even the weatherman Gary was joking about his love of Chocolate, before telling us of a stretch of Record Setting Days heading our way

We’ll try replacing those Stolen License Plates again tomorrow so Kathy can get back on the road.

  1. Admittedly I have been a terrible reader. I've been so busy the last year its been just crazy. My own blog has suffered severely, hardly posted much at all. And I removed the .com so its back to just the blogger address. Fully expecting to be back now. Hope I didn't miss too much. Sorry to hear your plates were stolen.
