Raining, Reading Blogs and Windy.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It felt good being able to sleep in this morning, even though it took a couple of roll overs to accomplish it.

As usual I’d barely gotten in the Living Room when Kathy joined me. Looking outside to see a very wet parking lot, had us taking our time doing things, throughout the morning. Breakfast was an Egg Over Easy on Toast with our Coffee we had at the Computers.

Two Weeks has passed so after reading a couple of Blogs, I started sorting our Laundry. Taking Two of the loads down to the First Floor Laundry Room I was disappointed to find all the machines in use and others waiting to use them. I headed back to the Apartment with the Two Loads and finished pretreating the rest in anticipation of getting things started after lunch.

The Rain had stopped and the forecasted High Winds started rattling our Balcony Railing. We settled in with Split Pea with Ham Soup along with Cheese on Crackers for lunch and had more Tuxedo Cake for dessert.

Playing it smart I went downstairs without our laundry to check on the Laundry Room. It was just as busy with even more people waiting to use the machines.

I read quite a few more Blogs on our Sidebar. Kathy was very jealous of your pictures Doug. Wishing you a Safe Trip back home. We definitely have to get back to Arizona and the Southwest. We are surprised how everyone has mentioned how cold it has been in the desert this past Winter. It could be part of the weather system that has eased the Drought situation in California.

I did talk with Ivan for a short while. If you recall, we became good friends when I worked for Paul. Ivan said Paul wishes I was still working for him. Ivan reminded him how he treated me.

On the side note, everything has been breaking and costing him big time to have the Contractors come in to repair it. He also hasn’t had a welder since before our Canadian Thanksgiving. (You get what you give.)

I started chopping up the Vegetables around 4:30 so we could have Wraps for supper. Notice I didn’t say “Veggie”. Not wanting food to spoil Kathy suggested I add the Leftover Chicken and Potato to the mix. Since there wasn’t that much Chicken and Potato, I sauteed them separately, then added them to the Wraps before adding the Veggies. They were different, tasty and very filling.

The 6 o’clock Local News reminded us of the High Winds we were experiencing.

The High Wind Gusts cooled things down,

Back to the Laundry Room two people were leaving as I got there. I managed to get my First Two Loads going before going back to the Apartment. I sat for a few minutes before heading back with the rest of our Laundry. It was just after 10:00 when I got back with the last of the Folded Clothes. My Hernia reminded me not to lift so much at once.

  2. Hope you can take the whole day off tomorrow with no chores, laundry, etc. I guess all the other working people in the building need the laundry facilities on the weekend. Meanwhile, take a break once in a while and enjoy.
