Waiting For Spring and Visiting.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

With it being Saturday I was so looking forward to sleeping in, but it was not to be. I did manage to get an extra Thirty Minutes after getting to bed later then expected. I even woke at my normal work week time but rolled over, only to wake Two Hours later.

See the White Highlights on the windshields.

As soon as she sensed my movement Kathy was out of bed, beating me to the other room. We had a Muffin and Juice before getting ready to go.

Even though it wasn’t visible when we looked out our Balcony Door, the Sxxw was flying horizontally as we made our way to the Car. The temperature was well below the Freezing Mark and the Wind Chill was even colder.

Things have definitely changed from before the Coronavirus, when it was easy to get appointments on Saturdays. Now our Dentist only works one Saturday every month, so in order to get this appointment, it was made back in December. With my work schedule this was the safest way to do so. Besides our Cleanings, Kathy had an Adjustment while I have another appointment scheduled for next month.

Since we’d had so little for a breakfast Snack we stopped at McDonald’s for a Coffee and another Muffin before heading over to our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melisa’s for a short visit. The last time we stopped in was for Cameron’s Birthday, Five Weeks ago. To say we had a lot of catching up was an understatement. Lots has happened in that short a time. Not wanting to cut in to things they might have wanted to do we left after visiting for Two Hours.

White Caps on the Detroit River.

Wendy’s was our go to place for lunch, where we settled for Chicken Wraps and Coffees.

Clearing sky by the time we got home.

Our next stop was at our Friends Gerry and Sandy’s house not far from our son’s. The last time we got together was before the Coronavirus Shutdowns took place Three Years ago. We used to take some short trips in our RVs, not just in Ontario, but in the eastern US states as well. Like ourselves they both have some Health Issues that have to be addressed, but they are also looking forward to getting back on the road.

Kathy and Sandy had plenty to talk about while Gerry and I talked about my new job along with new technology. Neither of us are into the latest and greatest but we try to keep up with new things we can do with the technology we have. We visited for just over Two Hours before saying our Good-Byes. This will leave us with more to catch up on the next time we meet, in the not so distant future.

Notice the West Winds.

The Wind was a factor that helped to keep our temperatures on the Cold side today. Inside the Apartment the noise from the 35 MPH Wind Gusts, that kept rattling our Balcony Railing was intense.

Still feeling full from the Chicken Wraps we had for lunch we didn’t have supper until after 7:00. I made certain that none of our vegetables would go to waste by making a Stir-Fry and serving them as Veggie Wraps. We didn’t need any snacks tonight.

Even though it was Cold today, it felt good touching base with everyone. Tomorrow will be warmer so we’ll see what that will bring.
