Imbalanced.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

After racing the Storm home last night, we ended up with Leftovers back in the Fridge. We also made Planned not to spend time on the Computers when we got up this morning. Getting up, before what has become our new normal time to start our days, we started with breakfast. Instead of making Pancakes as previously planned, we warmed up those Leftovers. They were satisfying enough to start, but would later come back to haunt us.

We were out the door minutes after 9:00 in an attempt to beat the rising temperature and a forecasted Thunderstorm. Since it only felt like 95 F (35 C) at that time, Kathy still insisted on walking to the Car for the exercise. Even with Sunny skies, the Wind was gusting above 20 MPH (30 KPH) it felt comforting.

Our first stop was Dollarama to stock up on our favourite Morning Juice and Brisk Iced Tea. Those products alone are less than half the cost charged at the grocery store. We also got a loaf of Bread, some Pudding and Cough Drops. We only saved about Thirty Percent on those items, but every cent counts on a fixed income.

Lastly we stopped at the Zehr’s grocery store to get the Produce, Dairy, Meats and Frozen Food that are not carried at Dollarama. By the time we got everything loaded in the Car, I was feeling off balanced.

Even after filling our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart, Kathy and I managed to carry a few extra things up to the Apartment. Most of this was perishables that needed to be put away as soon as possible. Kathy was starting to feel drained by then as well. While she rested, I returned to the Car to get the remainder of our purchases.

With everything finally put away we both needed to rest. We also figured out why we were feeling the way we were. Yesterday’s Leftovers that we had for breakfast are called Krazy Bread. That is mostly Seasoned Bread. It gives you instant energy, but before you know it, your level crashes. We enjoyed Chicken Noodle Soup to balance our intakes.

Since we missed her call yesterday, it was nice to talk to our daughter Karen this evening as she was headed for home.

We settled for Hot Dog Wraps for supper and later enjoyed a small dish of Frozen Chocolate Yogurt for dessert.

Tonight we were lucky to watch a “Murder Mystery” and “Criminal Minds” before watching the “11 o’clock Local News”. The Heat Warnings have been extended for our Province, along with the risk of Thunderstorms.

We’ve got places to be tomorrow.
