After getting up before the Alarm yesterday and then staying up until nearly midnight I was not surprised that it was the Alarm that had to wake me up this morning. We enjoyed our Bran Muffins for breakfast but took our turns getting ready to meet the day while the other spent a few minutes on the Computer having their Coffee.

We were out the door before 9:00 on our way to Hotel Dieu Hospital. It was an easy drive driving all the way down Riverside Drive until we reached Goyeau Avenue. Since we haven’t been in the core of the downtown in a few years we were surprised to find that Goyeau no longer went through after Wyandotte so we had to make a detour.

After finding a parking spot it was time for me to check in but first we had to go through the maze of where to go. We were ahead of my scheduled appointment but filling in the necessary Paperwork always eats away at that. I was soon consulting with Dr. Dean and minutes later he was busy taking care of my problem. About Five Years ago I developed a Skin Tag In my Eyelid that tended to hang into my line of sight. The procedure took less then Five Minutes but I couldn’t leave right away while they made certain there would be no excess bleeding. Others left wearing Eye-Patches because the bleeding would not stop but when we left the only thing that I did was say Thank You and walk out.
We planned to grab a pizza at Domino’s for lunch but stopped at the Dollarama next door since it was so early. We found a few more organizers that will help make our Cutlery Drawer much safer.

As we were leaving we changed our minds on what we would have for lunch so we stopped at Burger King where we used a Coupon to have a tasty, satisfying lunch at a reasonable price. There was hardly anyone there when we walked in but had barely sat down when the place suddenly filled up with a line out the door. It was just after 12:000 noon.

Back at the Apartment I needed to call the Pharmacy to ask a few questions before getting down to business of working on our Pill Doucettes. It took a little longer to do the Forty Five Days worth of Pills and Vitamins than normal because I had forgot to bring some of the New Bottles of Vitamins out until I was packing up the Doucettes.

Kathy made Toasted Bacon and Cheese Sandwiches for supper. We watched our 6 o’clock Local News. We both plan on catching up on our sleep tonight and plan on getting a few more things organized in the apartment tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Straightening Things Out and Running Errands.

If there is one thing we both dislike having to do it’s waking to the sound of the Alarm and with an early appointment on the calendar we had no choice but to guarantee getting up on time. As what has happened many times in the past I was awake way before the Alarm. After staring at the ceiling I finally just got up, shut the Alarm and started getting things ready for breakfast.

Before 7:30 (the time the Alarm was set for) Kathy joined me. Even though our Coffee/Tea were cooling next to our Computers we busied ourselves getting the Apartment ready for our visitor. By 8:30 everything was put where it belonged and we could relax.
The first thing we did was to check our E-mails, Messages, the Local News and The Weather Network. One of the things we learned was our planned visit was off for this evening because everyone there was either sick or had a cold. If someone sneezes across the room in a Walmart Kathy will catch it.

I found more conflict over the way I presented what I felt in a couple of recent posts. That was not my intention. I do not support any Political Party in Canada or the US. What I commented on was after having watched the Witnesses that testified to in Congress that what had been said was not what was being presented at the Trial.

I called Pharma Care pharmacy to verify that our Prescriptions were ready. The person at the other end shocked me when they said they were waiting for Kathy’s Former Doctor to approve a medication. I informed them in no uncertain words that there were no medications she needed from that Doctor that had not already been approved by her new Family Doctor.
Since it was Kathy’s appointment and we had other things to take care of today I headed out the door shortly after. My destination being Planet Fitness in an attempt to keeping myself fit not only Physically but Mentally as well. It is amazing that as you Physically push your body it gives you a chance to get rid of Mental Stress and gives you time to solve problems. With it being just after 9:00 in the morning I had no problem getting a good Workout.

I was back at the Apartment shortly after 12:00 only to find out that the time written on the Calendar was incorrect. The appointment time was 1:00 in the afternoon not 10:00 in the morning which also meant we could have slept later without the use of the Alarm. We made Toasted Cheese Sandwiches for a quick snack.

Mary arrived early so while she tended to Kathy’s feet I researched the list of Medications that the pharmacy should have filled. As soon as Mary was finished we all headed out together.
Our first stop was to drop off the Claim Form at Green Shield as they cover the cost of Kathy’s Home Treatment.
From there we headed towards Amherstburg to Pharma Choice. The same young person insisted that they needed to call the Former Doctor until I presented all the Script Numbers which proved our Family Doctor was the last Physician to write the Script.
We walked around the Dollarama and found that they are carrying Collapsible Crates which make great Storage Units in an RV and the price was a fraction of what we paid years ago.
Taking a different route back to Windsor it was past 4:00 when we stopped at Taco Bell for supper. We are still using Coupons to keep our costs down.
We then drove over to Zehr’s grocery store where we picked up a few things to keep us going.
We ended up at Walmart looking for additional Food Storage Containers before heading back to the Apartment. We managed to watch the 6 o’clock Local News before looking for something else to watch. Since the Impeachment Hearing was the only thing on and part of the controversy I started we shut the Television off.

Had to set the Alarm again for another morning appointment. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Slept In and More About The Hearing.

After getting to bed earlier then the latest norm last night we were shocked at what time we opened our eyes this morning. Lets just say we only needed our Coffee/Tea for breakfast.

With the forecast showing no signs of the Sun for the next while didn’t help to energize us. We did our inside chores before we even sat at the Computers. Before we knew it was time to be having a late lunch.

While I made the Macaroni and Cheese Kathy made the dessert plate of a Banana, Coconut Macaroons along with an Apple Sauce Cup.

We had considered accomplishing different things but our addiction to the Impeachment Trial used up the better part of the day. This was the day where the Senators got to ask questions to both legal teams.

If I’ve insulted any of our readers by any of my comments about the Hearing I apologize. I guess that’s just getting caught up in the moment.

We have lots to do tomorrow so we’ll save that for then. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Put Away, Working Out, Eating Lite and “No Country For Old Men”.

It was well after 11:00 when I returned to the Apartment with all the folded Laundry last night. Kathy was practically falling asleep in her Chair so rather then putting everything away I turned down the Bed so she could go to sleep. Luckily I had written the Blog while in the Laundry Room so I simply uploaded it then added the Pictures and published it.

I was awake by 8:00 and with a single look outside I knew we would not be seeing the Sun today. Surprisingly Kathy joined me shortly after 8:30 so we had time to talk about our day before going to the Computers. We accomplished quite a few things before getting ready for an early lunch including putting the folded Laundry away.
Since we had eaten at the A1 Chinese Restaurant last night we kept lunch Lite. We finished the Garden Salad that Kathy made the other day then we had a Banana and the last of the Paczki for dessert so they wouldn’t go to waste.

Kathy wanted to do some organizing this afternoon but she also wanted to listen to CNN. Even though it was the President’s Legal Team she wanted to hear what kind of Lies they would tell today. I set up the Television before heading out the door.

Taking the Truck I went to Planet Fitness and was able to start my Cardio before 2:00. The after work gang hadn’t arrived yet so I was able to do Three Sets of each of the Free Weight Routines that I have been doing. From there I used the Resistance Machines until things started getting crowded. That was perfect timing for me to do my closing Cardio before heading to the showers.
I was back at the Apartment before 5:00 and when I walked in Kathy was just finishing making supper. She used a Pound of Ground Beef with Manwich Sauce over a bed of Egg Noodles with Parmesan Cheese on top. It was delicious.

Since the Hearings ended early today so after we watched the 6 o’clock Local News and there was nothing of interest on TV we decided to watch the movie “No Country For Old Men” on a DVD we had. Neither of us saw this when it came to the theatres but it won Awards. It kept you guessing to the very end. We gave it a Ten.

Not sure what we’ll be doing tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
