I was surprised to have a second night in a row of laying wide awake because my mind would not shut down. This time after only a Half Hour I took an Extra Strength Tylenol then sat at the Computer solving a Puzzle for another Half Hour before heading back to bed. Even with that disturbed sleep I was up before the Sun this morning and had everything ready for breakfast before thinking to take a picture.
We enjoyed the Rhubarb Sauce that Kathy made yesterday on our Toast. It’s been quite a while since the last time we had that and it really gave some Zip to our meal.

We made it a Two Cup Morning at the Computers where we also made Plans for the afternoon. We all know what happens when we make Plans and today would be no different.
After having Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch with Cookies and Chocolate Pudding for dessert we were heading out the door. We planned on a Surprise Visit with someone today but had to make a couple of stops first. As we walked out the door we found the Receipt for this month’s Rent partly under the door. Since the Manager will do this for each month our Rent is paid we though we’d find some small Mailbox to mount on the Door.
Since it’s been a couple of weeks since we used the Truck we thought today would be a good time to exercise it. The first place we stopped was Canadian Tire where we looked for the small Mailbox and some Shelves that could be used under our Bathroom Sink to give us more storage space. We found both items only they were both too large for what we wanted. We did find some J-Clothes that we use around the Kitchen.
We then headed over to Hearing Life for some supplies for Kathy’s Hearing Aids. Since we had the Truck I dropped Kathy off then backed in to a nearby parking spot. I was just about to join her inside when there she was heading back to the Truck with her supplies in hand. That was quick.
We stopped at Dollarama in hopes that they might have some of the other things we had on our List. They had the Storage Baskets Kathy was looking for as well as the Paintbrush that I wanted but no Shelf and no Mailbox.
At first glance this sign looked like someone actually hanging on to the container.
We tried Staples and found a couple of alternatives but Kathy wanted to look elsewhere. When we went back to the Truck the Honda Dealership next door had Shipping Containers in the back lot with a very real looking picture on it as a way of selling their products.
We tried Walmart and spent a Half Hour walking but we still didn’t find what we wanted.
We tried the nearby Home Depot. We struck out on the Mailbox but we located Materials that I’ll use to make the Shelves for under the Bathroom Sink.
We were about to leave the parking lot when we noticed it was nearly 4:00 which meant it was too late for that Surprise Visit but we needed to eat. We walked to the A&W where since they were “On Sale” we each had a Mama Burger and a Diet Root Beer for our supper.
We stopped at Guardian Storage where we collected our Mail before retrieving a few Tools from our Storage Unit so I’ll be able to make the Shelves for under the Bathroom Sink.
We had a planned visit in Amherstburg this evening but now we were too early so we took Walker Road to Alma as a way of using up time. Still too early we stopped at the Amherstburg Home Hardware Building Center to look for the Mailbox but again it was too large.
With more time to use we drove to the Dollar Tree. We actually found another alternative to the Mailbox but walked out empty handed.

We finally headed over to our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s for a visit. The last time we saw them was on Boxing Day so we had a lot to talk and laugh about. It was after 8:00 before we started our trek back to Windsor and past 9:00 by the time we took our coats off.

Not sure what we’ll be up to tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I hate it when I'm tired and want to sleep but my mind is going full blast. I take the Tylenol but I don't think it helps me to sleep but it does help with the aches and pains a little. You guys were everywhere today but looking at the blue sky, it must have been nice out.

  3. It's great that you're allowed to put a mailbox on your door. Most apartments don't allow that.
