More Chores, Cooking and News.

Even with the threat of more Whitening of the landscape we didn’t even let that bother us when we went to bed. What did bother us was the increased Wind that had gusts as high as 39 MPH. Besides it rattling the Balcony Railing outside our Bedroom Window it was also blowing back into the Exhaust Vents. Even though we could easily fall back to sleep just the constant waking up had us both feeling tired when we got up this morning.
That also meant that we slept longer making it a short morning. There was enough Cloud Cover that it was hard to tell where the Sun was hiding. The temperature was actually a bit below seasonal giving us another reason to stay inside. Kathy called our daughter Karen to wish her a Happy Birthday.
We worked together to make another meal using more of the Pepper Steak that Kathy made yesterday. Today Kathy cooked some Egg Noodles rather then Rice to add to the dish. It gave the dish a different taste though it was still too Spicy for Kathy. Then we topped it off with a Raspberry French Pastry and a couple of Clementine Oranges for dessert.

While Kathy finished painting an Inscription on the Small Mailbox for our Apartment Door I started cleaning up a Celery Root that seemed to have gotten buried at the back of our Fridge. By doing this we didn’t have to throw out the Celery Root which would have been like throwing our money away. Since it was a smaller Root than I’ve cleaned before it didn’t take long today. Kathy had it boiling on the stove within minutes.

I then started assembling the new Bookshelf that we purchased the other day. It took little time compared to some I’ve put together. Then it was a matter of moving the other Bookshelf by a mere Twenty Inches but that alone would take nearly an Hour because it was already loaded with Books. In the end it all looks good.
It was snowing seconds before this picture was taken.
Just then we noticed we were in the middle of a heavy Flurry. Before I could take a picture it had already stopped.

While Kathy started the sauteing the Breaded Celery Root I was busy toasting a couple of English Muffins as a side. We also had a Date Square as dessert.

With the Dishes cleaned up we watched the 6 o’clock Local News before watching more of the Impeachment Hearings on CNN. Then we watch as they presented the review of the Nixon Investigation of the Watergate Break In. Looking at what happen then it is like History repeating itself with the present administration.

  3. During the election CNN was 'very concerned' about whether 'Mr. Trump would accept the results', then he won and CNN has not accepted the results. We stopped watching after 15 years of CNN being our main channel. Don't get me wrong, I don't like him but its the principal of it. There are other serious issues going on but all they talk about is Trump - it got old.

  5. The only way I could live in a place that had such harsh winters would be like you guys on the 8th floor where I would not have to shovel snow and with a roaring fire so I could stay warm.
