Walking The Line On Easter and Too Many Veggies

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Kathy and I hope everyone had a Happy Easter no matter how you spent the day.

We both slept well, but decided that even though this was a globally special day, we kept it low key.

Though they would be dining together later our daughter-in-law Melissa spent her day on the Picket-Line. This Canadian Company is trying to outsource critical jobs to off-shore businesses. We all know how frustrating it can be when trying to understand someone that has not mastered our language on the phone.

We enjoyed Tomato/Cheese Soup for lunch.

Kathy has been having issues with her new HP Computer. A big learning curve from the Lenovo.

Though I had Planned a meal for this evening, it seems our bodies are not used to as many vegetables as we have been eating lately, so our Easter Dinner was a Store-Bought, Thin-Crust Pizza.

We’ll be watching another Harry Potter movie tonight, but there is no sitting around tomorrow.

Words of Inspiration

No person, no place and no thing has any power over us, for “we” are the only thinkers in our mind. When we create peace and harmony and balance in our minds, we will find it in our live.

Really Slept, Finally and Happy Easter.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Not wanting to constantly rehash the same things day after day, I tried something different last night. Worried about building a residual After-Effect I left one of the medications out of my Nighttime Mickey last night. Strangely it worked, and I didn’t wake until morning. The fact that I barely slept on Thursday Night, might have helped with that.

Looking out the Balcony Doors this morning, all you could see were Clouds. After having our Over Easy Egg on Toast, we didn’t even make it to the Computers, when the Rain started coming down. Checking the Radar, it was easy to see that half our day would start to dry things out.

We enjoyed Toasted Tomato Sandwiches for lunch before going back to the Computers, but I didn’t go to mine. If you recall one of Kathy’s Christmas Gifts was a new Laptop. When I went to set it up there were a few moments that it almost got returned. Frustration after frustration, there were always a few more issues to resolve, so with Kathy sitting next to me, and verifying all the Icons were in place she finally got to use it today.

We watched a couple more Hallmark Movies to end our day.

Both Kathy and I would like to wish everyone a Happy Easter.

Very Short Naps and Scratching Off.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

The mystery continues after another night of little sleep. I used the usual Nighttime Mickey but finally headed to my Recliner around 3:00 only to go back to bed around 6:00. My night consisted of Very Short Naps. I’d fall asleep only to instantly wake. It’s always a guessing game.

We spent the morning at the Computers before having Macaroni and Cheese for our lunch. We knew that we were going out for supper, so we kept it Lite.

Many who were brought up in the Christian Faith always avoided eating any kind of Meat on Good Friday but were allowed to have Fish. While reading the latest Newsletter from the 594 Legion, they mentioned requiring reservations for Tonight’s Meal. After verifying Kathy would like to go there, I called. The woman barely took my Name, Time of seating (One Hour Blocks) and Number attending, before saying the “Phones just keep ringing” and hanging up on me.

You all know that Kathy and I prefer to be early, rather than late, so we were there Twenty Minutes ahead of time. Strangely there was a table in the foyer, where they were verifying Who we were, Number attending and our Time. Being a Group of Two made it so we could be seated and served early. There were Extra Servers along with others to move things faster. There were tables of Thirty filled with at least Three Generations celebrating together.

By the time Servers took our order, they were starting to Scratch Off some of the Menu Items and were limited to French-Fries or French-Fries. Though they had calculated according to the Reservations, some brought in extra guests. We were happy to leave with full tummies after having supported our Local Veterans Association.

We had Planned, (Should never do that,) to get a couple things at the grocery store on the way home, but the few businesses that did open today, had closed while we were having supper. We’ll make a run for it tomorrow, when they’ll be open again.

We watched a couple of Hallmark Movies to close out our day.

Mayor Threatened and Photo Bombed.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I learned a valuable lesson in just the last couple of days. Instead of taking my Nighttime Micky just before going to bed, I take it nearly an Hour before. The most I lay in bed now before drifting off has been Five Minutes.

I wasn’t out of bed Ten Minutes this morning, when Kathy joined me. Since we were not going to be very active today, breakfast was simply a Muffin along with our Coffees that we brought to the Computers.

After checking The Weather Network to see our temperature was still below Freezing, it was time to check the Windsor Star for local news. Apparently, someone called in a Threat against the Mayor of our City and was promptly arrested within the hour since he called from his home.

Trying to clean up our Fridge, for lunch we shared an Acorn Squash along with a small slice of Cherry Pie for dessert.

The temperature finally warmed a bit, but with the moderate Wind we were having, those Jogging or Walking on the Ganatchio Trail were still wearing Coats, Gloves and Hats. With nothing pressing to take care of, we stayed in the comfort of the Apartment.

I’ve never been much of a cook but could always survive on my own. Since my Re-Retirement, I have tried to expand on my creative abilities, so we are not eating the same ole, same ole all the time. I was in the process of cooking supper when Kathy came to my rescue and coached me through the process. We worked together when the plating took place. Our meal consisted of Sauteed Asparagus, Sauteed Potato Slices and Grilled Bacon. Kathy topped it off with Iced Tea for our beverage along with Strawberries for dessert. We were well satisfied.

On the 6 o’clock Local News the only thing we learned that we had not read about earlier, was that we reached a high of 50 F (10 C). The Local Weather Guesser tries to give his forecast from the top of the Building, overlooking the City where a Sky Cam is set up for that purpose. Last night while he was in the middle of his forecast, he was joined by a pair of Canadian Geese that dropped in to give their personal opinion on the weather. Not often he gets Photo Bombed like that.

From other News we are still following is the Bridge/Cargo Ship Disaster.

Tomorrow we will be out and about.
