Even though I needed to take a Tylenol Night-Time Tablet for Body Aches and Pains before going to bed last night by the time I woke up this morning there was no more Pain. Another thing that felt good was to be able to sleep the entire night without struggling to breathe because the CPAP Machine was not doing its job. All the years I used this Older CPAP Machine I never had a problem with it. When I got up this morning I felt refreshed.

I appreciate the Comments of concern about my back strain yesterday at Walmart. After it happen it made me think of our Dear Friend Vera who in 2018 slipped on a piece of Cellophane that had fallen out of the trash in her apartment. She ended up with a Broken Ankle, a Broken Wrist and a messed up Knee that has yet to be fixed.

Our morning sky.

After doing our inside chores I again modified a Garden Salad by adding Chopped Celery, Onions and Peppers before mixing it with a Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing before topping it with Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. Kathy made up the dessert plate with a shared Apple, a piece of Black Forest Cake and a Yogurt Cup.

Most of the morning and afternoon were spent on the Computers until Kathy made up some Chinese Food that we bought in the Frozen Food section of the grocery store for supper. She was surprised when the sauce was not Sweet and Sour but something that had some bite to it. It was fine for me but she is not used to Spicy Foods.

We watched our 6 o’clock Local News and they talked about damage from Hurricane Sally, Fall Temperatures, the continued closure of the Canada/US International Border and New Coronavirus Cases in Canada. They mentioned Cases in our Province increasing and that if it continues they will send us back to Phase 2 Recovery.

Our suppertime weather.
Noticing a few Trees are starting to change colour.

An Hour later we watched the Joe Biden town hall meeting in Moosic, Pennsylvania. Using the CDC’s Guidelines it was set up on a school’s sports field outside similar to being at a Drive-In Theater. Even though they were outside the number of participants had been limited to protect everyone. There were Microphones set up so people could ask their questions from a distance. Joe was very articulate answering all the questions and when asked a question about the Virus actually compared how Canada was doing compared to the US.

Having watched the President’s Gatherings most are Overcrowded with people not Social Distancing and most are not wearing Masks. Then soon after there are reported outbreaks among those participants because no one is following CDC Guidelines.

Tomorrow is a busier day. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

It Did It Again and Painful Slip-Up.

If you recall just over a week ago I could barely breathe while wearing my CPAP Mask. Very early this morning it happened again. Having been told by a Pulmonologist that I was having a Tachypnea (Over Breathing while you sleep) I immediately concentrated on slowing my breathing down but it did not help. I had to again take my Mask off to catch my breathe. There just was not enough Air coming through the hose and that was why my breathing speed increased. I restarted the Machine and then I smelt it just like my first CPAP a burning electrical smell. Then I remembered that same smell on the 4th of September. It was past 6:00 before I fell back to sleep.

Kathy was up only Five Minutes after I was. She had no problem falling to sleep but spent an Hour awake before finally getting a restful sleep.

As soon as we brought our morning beverages over to our Computers I made some Calls. The first was to our Drug Store in Amherstburg to order our Prescriptions to pick up this Friday since we’ll be in town. The next call was to VitalAire to see about having my unit checked out later today.

Lately it feels like I experience some bloating and discomfort after eating lunch which makes it difficult to start exercising. As soon as I finished my morning Coffee I did my morning chores then started working out. It felt good.

As soon as I finished I washed my hands and started making Split Pea with Ham Soup along with Tea while Kathy was busy making a dessert plate with Cookies, Grapes and Yogurt Cups. The advantage of eating immediately after you exercise is that your Metabolism is then racing and the food is processed quickly.

After doing the Dishes together I headed for a shower. It was minutes before 2:00 when we headed out the door. Just as we were about to get in the Car I realized we’d forgotten the Camera but since we needed to be at VitalAire by 2:30 we just left it.

Our first stop was our Climate Controlled Storage Unit at Guardian Storage. I only needed to move a single wheeled clothing rack to retrieve my former CPAP Machine that had given me Seven Years of worry free service. We stopped at the Office to collect our Mail.

Arriving at VitalAire with minutes to spare I handed both my New and Old Machines to Taira. She reset my Old CPAP Machine to my newly upgraded pressure so I can use it while my New Machine is serviced.

From Photo File.

That all happened quicker then we thought so we decided to get some walking to. We went to Walmart where after Kathy checked a few things we started walking the aisles in the Grocery Section. We found a few deals on Soup and Iced Tea that came home with us.

Kathy decided to make one last loop pushing the Shopping Cart around the back aisle as I followed. Somehow Kathy passed by the Entertainment Area with no problem but somehow I stepped on a Large Price Tag that I didn’t see. It was like stepping one foot on Ice. I manage to grab a shelf to stop from going all the way down but twisted my Back and slightly pulled my Groin Muscles. Kathy didn’t even know I wasn’t behind but met me near the Cashiers.

We stopped at Burger King where we each got a Whopper Wednesday Meal with Onion Rings rather then Fries. When we got in the Drive-Thru there was only a single car ahead of us. As we sat in the parking lot eating supper the line suddenly went around the building and onto the street.

Today's high temperature.

Supper filled us up enough we never had a snack this evening. We watched the 6 o’clock Local News before settling in at the Computers. I’ve taken a Tylenol Night-Time Body Ache Tablet to hopefully sleep through this discomfort. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Open Window, Atlantic Storms and ABC Town Hall Meeting.

We were quite amazed how well we slept last night considering it was all of 48 F (9 C) when I finally looked at the Computer this morning. Another thing I believe helped me was that I had adjusted the straps on the Headgear of my CPAP Mask making it more “Leak Proof”. With our Bedroom Window wide open the entire night we were also exposed to a lot of Oxygen enriched air which was like giving us Sleeping Pills that helped us to sleep later.

Once we finished breakfast we busied ourselves finding out what is not only happening with the Bloggers we follow but the rest of the world. It is surprising to see Five Named Storms in the Atlantic heading towards the US with Hurricane Sally presently pounding the Gulf Coast.

When it was time for lunch Kathy wanted something simple so while I made Chicken Noodle Soup and our Very Berry Tea she was busy making an Icing Topping to put on the French Pastries we picked up at Walmart the other day to soften them up. We watched the delivery person putting them on the shelf but as Kathy said they were like chewing “Shoe Leather”. The Soup was satisfying but the Pastry was still tough.

For being Retired and not having anything to do we surely are busy on our Computers researching and making data entries most of the day. The Canada/ US International Border closure has been again extended to October 25th of this year as way of keeping the Coronavirus Cases down in Canada.

We watched another episode of Law & Order before cooking up a Store Bought Thin Crust Pizza for supper. Just turn the Oven on to 425 F (217 C), remove the Pizza from the Freezer, remove the wrapping and place on a Pizza Pan, set Timer for Fifteen Minutes and put in the Oven. When the Timer went off I shut the Timer then the Oven before bring the Pizza to the Cutting Board then serving it. Kathy had a hard time eating her Pizza because it was still piping hot.

After watching the 6 o’clock Local News we cleaned up the Dishes before watching an ABC Town Hall Special where actual Voters not Reporters had the chance to ask President Trump crucial questions that were important to them. I hope that many of you also watched this.

I’ve got things to do tomorrow but I know better then to Plan on it. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

Cooling, Cooking and Bad News.

I kept waking every hour last night but was up minutes after 8:00 this morning feeling rested. After Kathy joined me for breakfast she said she just didn’t feel rested.
The temperature had risen by the time this was taken.
Both the Day and Night temperatures have really come down since last weekend. Over the last few years our area temperatures haven’t been dropping until after our Canadian Thanksgiving. We started the morning with a light Cloud covering but by noon the sky was filled with Dark Clouds. Looking at the Radar the only Clouds it tends to show are the Moisture Laden Clouds and the only ones visible in North America were a line of Storm Clouds from Florida to Newfoundland. The rest of the Map was totally clear.
When it came time for lunch I modified a Garden Salad by adding Chopped Celery, Onions and Peppers before mixing it with Raspberry Vinaigrette then topping it with Shredded Mozzarella Cheese. Kathy was busy pealing Oranges, mixing the last of the Blueberries in Yogurt then adding a Cherry filled French Pastry to the plate.

We again spent most of the afternoon working at the Computers before watching Law & Order on Television at 3:00.
For supper Kathy cooked Spaghettini to put the last of the Pepper Steak on. That made us Four Meals each from that one preparation. The only thing we had to add were the Egg Noodles, today’s Spaghettini or sometimes Rice whatever you might be craving as a base.

On the 6 o’clock Local News we saw how the Wildfires are affecting California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. They also showed how Hurricane Sally is heading towards New Orleans and because it is moving so slow could result in lots of Flooding. They also talked about more Coronavirus Cases in Ontario. Most are Students around the GTA that were just tired of being away from their friends and got together for a party.

Looking at the Radar this evening we might see some Rain before the weekend. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

So So Night, Clear Day and Exercise.

Even though we didn’t run the Fan or have the Blind turned the wrong way we still had only a So-So night’s sleep. It actually felt like it as warmer then the forecasted 55 F (13 C) probably because the Wind was coming from the front of the building that blocked it from blowing in our Apartment. With a broken sleep like that we once again slept until 8:30.
We’d had Rain around 6:00 but with the Sun brightly shining it didn’t take long for the Puddles to disappear. Once we got to the Computers the first thing Kathy did was wish our niece Christine a Happy Birthday. We managed to read more then our usual this morning since a lot of the Blogs we follow hadn’t written yet.
For our late lunch we had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Dill Pickle garnishing with the last of the Red Velvet Cake, a shared Apple and a Yogurt Cup for dessert. We cleaned up the Dishes before heading back to the Computers.

It was over an Hour before lunch settled enough that I was able to start exercising. Most know the worst thing you can do is to exercise, run or swim soon after eating. You will get very sick.
Kathy wanted something different for supper and simply mentioned we were having Pancakes but what she did was make Blueberry Pancakes. With the Blueberries cooked in the batter they were delicious.

We were able to watch the 6 o’clock Local News before we watched another Hallmark Movie. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
