Super Clean and Questions Answered.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Even though I slept in this morning I still managed to get up early. Timing is everything when there is a possibility that others could be thinking like yourself. I got things ready for breakfast then I checked The Weather Network to see what we would be feeling today before I started sorting. It was then that I heard Kathy moving around in the Bedroom.

We had Cereal for breakfast then while I finished my chore with pretreating Kathy finished her morning chores a well. It was nearly 7:30 when we headed out the door.

Our destination was The Super Clean Laundromat on Hawthorne Drive. According to the attendant lots of people chose to use the Emancipation Civic Holiday to do their laundry. I managed to snag the older Front Load Washers that I find do a better job of rinsing the clothes then the Newer Energy Efficient One. Even though it felt like we were there forever Kathy and I had everything folded and we heading for the Car by 9:45.

The Water we had brought with us was no longer quenching our thirst and breakfast was no longer doing its job. We stopped at McDonald’s just around the corner and had Bacon McMuffins along with Mango/Pineapple Smoothies for a brunch.

We stopped at Guardian Storage to pick up our Mail before heading back to the Apartment. Once everything was put away we settled in at our Computers.

After reading Comments on yesterday’s Blog I realized how lucky we are. With Canada’s Gun Laws we don’t have to worry about that type of violence as much as people in the US. Even though there has been an increase in such crimes over the last few years.

When I modify a Store Bought Pizza it’s because we have had a busy day and we don’t add that many Carbs to our meal.

Another Comment suggested that since I’m chopping a lot of Veggies for Stir-Fries lately that using a Hand Held Food Processor would save me time. I checked out the Site forwarded to me and was shocked how inexpensive they presently are. Being a US site it would cost nearly Four Times The Cost just for the shipping. I remember seeing those years ago and they would speed things up but the Galley Kitchen we have in our Apartment is smaller then that of our Trailer so storing it would become one issue. Kathy also remembers the Nick-Name given to them for another reason. After they first came out there was a drastic increase in the number of Emergency Room visits because people were careless when they used them. Thanks for the suggestion though but we’ll pass for now.

Newly Repaved.

Around 1:30 we shared an Apple as a way of holding us over until supper tonight.

We headed off to LaSalle to speak with our Lawyer. Unfortunately her Temporary Receptionist told her it was a Phone-In Appointment while telling us to come in. At least we got a lot of questions answered and will clear things up for the way our Wills are written.

Back in Windsor we stopped at Dollarama and using our Shopping List we gathered quite a few of those items which saved us big cash by getting them there. We also got some of the items that have not been in stock lately. We kind of stocked up on those.

We then went to Bulk Barn where we purchase our Healthy Snacks. We save money but I get carried away on the portion size of those and it can add up.

Finally at Zehr’s grocery store we gathered the Produce, Yogurt and Crackers in no time making that our cheapest investment of the afternoon.

We had to use our Folding Shopping Cart to get everything upstairs which has become a challenge due to number of Contractors working inside the building.

For supper we had Veggie Wraps using the Leftover Stir-Fry which was good in more then one way. We also had a snack that accidentally fell into our Shopping Cart. That wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be.

The Weather Network showed our Humidex felt like 90 F (32 C) but tomorrow will be a scorcher. Looks like I’ll be turning on the Air Conditioner before going out in the morning.

Krackers

I’m going to buy some Velcro for my shoes instead of laces.

Why knot?

  1. Does everything at Dollarama cost a Canadian dollar? If so what is the exchange rate of a USD to a Canadian one?

I have always meant to ask since you live on the border with the USA, and I live on the border with Mexico if businesses accept both forms of currency as they do here.

You guys accomplished a lot yesterday.
