Even though I made it to bed before midnight last night I wasn’t worried because the weekend was mine to do what I wanted. That was a good thing because when I opened my eyes next I was in shock. My body must have needed extra charging or was in shock for returning to work after a Six Month Vacation.
Of course it was only minutes later when Kathy joined me thinking she’d overslept. She was just as surprised to learn that I had just gotten up. Breakfast was more of a snack before taking our Coffee/Tea to our Computers.
Even
though my Foot
had been Painful
last night I did not take a Tylenol.
I simply soaked my feet in the Epson
Salts Bath.
By the time I went to bed the Pain
was down to a throb. This morning that Pain
was a thing of the past. I’ll try something to be certain the
problem doesn’t return.
When I finally got to the Fifty Plus Job Ad Requests I Unsubscribed the Two Job Platforms that had been the least helpful in my search for employment. Even after doing that I was still receiving a number of Ads that were more in line with what I would have preferred as a Welder/Fitter but for now I will continue doing what I am good at. The reason I prefer a Welder/Fitter to just Welding is the Problem Solving that comes with the jobs keeps you mentally alert and you are more physically active.
We headed out the door closer to 11:30. Anytime that I have a job I always show Kathy where it is at so she is more at ease knowing that much. Taking the Car for convenience I showed Kathy the exact route I’ve been taking to get there. Unfortunately it only added to her confusion because I was taking the Back Roads. To fix that we headed for lunch.
We went to the nearby Wendy’s on Walker Road which is a major Road in the city of Windsor. When we finished our lunch I headed back to Windsor Feedscrew. By taking this main drag Kathy was better able to process where we were at. When we arrived at the Plant she commented about liking the Feedscrews that were vertically standing in the garden for display. Then she was shocked when I told her the smallest one only weighed Four Hundred Pounds. (They were probably scrapped years ago so they stayed out of the Scrap Box.)
We took Walker Road back into the city swinging around to Guardian Storage to check on our Mail.
Finding none we headed to Dollarama. We quickly crossed a number of things off our Shopping List. We also stocked up on a few bottles of Juice and Lemonade since they are not always in stock.
When we went to the Zehr’s grocery store it took us longer then expected. They are presently renovating the store after Forty Years. This means that the organization the store once had is non-existent and since this is Summer they also had the Air Conditioning so low the store could have been used as a Meat Locker.
Using our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart we had everything upstairs in very little time. The fun was making all the food fit in the Fridge.
It was around 5:30 that I started making supper. I made a Veggie Omelette with White Cheddar Cheese and the Leftover Stir-Fry from this week. It was steaming hot when I served it on the plates. Kathy served us the Leftover Chocolate Cake for dessert.
With this being Saturday our 6 o’clock Local News was again pre-empted by a Golf Tournament.
There
had
been
a constant Cloud
cover the entire day which made it feel more like an early Fall
day. The
Weather Network
later
showed
our Humidex
had
only
felt like 77
F
(25
C)
which
is cold for this time of year. We
did not get the forecasted Rain
but there is a chance Sunday
could make up for it.
As I write this post my lack of exercising is telling me what I’ll be doing tomorrow.

Very good news on the foot! Tylenol is good for pain, but a bit of ibuprofen (Advil in the US) or naproxen (Um....I think Aleve in the US) is good for swelling and inflammation, Just sayin. But as it improved with good old epsom salts, no need.....nice!!
