Plans On Leaving and By Definition He Is Just A “Bully”.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

This has definitely become a work in progress adding Sealer to the Exit End of the Washer but this morning there was an added surprise. Someone had opened an additional Valve meaning I had to remain on the Ramp in order to stay dryer. I was still feeling the mist but not as badly.

After finishing that I added a skin of Sealer along the overhead pan where I tried blocking the holes using Window Putty the other day. The pan itself has started to show signs of corrosion along the upper edges and needs to be replaced.

I would periodically check both places for water leakage throughout the day. There was still minor drips along the pan but the main issue at the Washer Exit is due to the added water being put through that section of the system.

Paul is really pushing to get that Van Body repaired so I was outside doing a more thorough inspection. The Floor inside now is Three Layers Thick will have to be removed and the base of the Walls will have to be brought in by Four Inches. It was pure luck that the Body even stayed on the vehicle itself.

I repaired many Carriers of different shapes and sizes but that didn’t matter to Paul. He wants me to order everything needed and start the repairs this weekend. He seems to turn a deaf ear to my complaints of Kharen but he never came around me the entire day.

It was still nice to talk with Kathy to get my mind refocused. She had gone for an indoor walk at the nearby Walmart. Of course a few food items made their way into her cart.

I brought more of my personal belongings home at the end of the shift. By doing so will take away any confusion when the time comes that I do make my Final Exit.

Kathy made Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls on a bed of Vegetable Rice for supper. We shared a bottle of Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine) to go along with it and a slice of the Lemon Curd Cake that came from Walmart.

The 6 o’clock Local News reported we lost 3 Senior People to the Coronavirus in Windsor/Essex Region along with 324 New Coronavirus Cases today. The Provincial Government is looking at once again easing the Restrictions as a way of getting the economy going again.

The Weather Network showed that we had a high temperature of 19 F (-7 C) today. It will be cold overnight again.

Kathy did some research for me this evening and found that what Kharen is doing is strictly considered “Bullying” and there are no Laws to protect anyone in the workplace from that kind of behaviour. I’ll see the projects that I constructed to date put in place before leaving unless it just gets too bad then I’ll just walk out.

I definitely appreciate the Valuable Words of Advice in the Comment section. They have helped me to focus on what is important.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion or is Spam.

  2. I had my 'Retirement Party', but continued to work for another 5 years. I was with this crew for over 30 years and we were family. I can't image the daily stress you most go thru.

  3. Yes. When the time comes for an exit, you'll be ready to leave without anything of yours behind. It is just inconceivable to me that with your skills, your application to the job, and your patience, it is not noticed. I want to know who really owns that company. There's gotta be a way. Not that it will make a difference. Maybe it's somebody's tax write off, and they don't care.

  4. I was thinking about the bully item. After 15 months of Viet Nam air assault combat infantry experience I no longer had ANY fear of a bully and that has caused me to lose a couple of jobs in my working life. In every case I ended up being in a better situation afterward. By the way the coastal area of Corpus Christi Texas is crying for all sorts of folks to get to work NOW due to the years of construction ahead.

  5. We as commentators only know one side of the story. Let me state unequivocally I am not casting aspirations on anything Rick has written. Experience has taught me there are two sides to every situation. While I do not know what the other side is, perhaps a three way meeting would be a place to start. I do know if Rick continues to harbour his negative feelings towards Kharen he will do more damage to himself than to Kharen.

  6. I'm glad to read that you are slowly getting your things out of there. Like Nancy K, i would have been gone months ago. No one should put up with that crap.
