Talk About Cheap.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

The weather was wet and dreary on the way to work and continued for the first Hour of the shift even throwing in a bolt or two of Lightning once in a while. After the BS from yesterday I didn’t even worry about the walk around this morning and simply started working on the Modified Carriers. I had calmed myself down and told myself to just do them the proper way. That meant finish cleaning, then straightening before the reassembly began.

My first visitor was the Owner Paul just before my break at 9:00 liking the way they were turning out. He pointed out there were other Carriers for repairs and I told him Kharin had told me not to touch them until all the Modified Carriers were complete. He said he’d show me another job later.

By 10:00 I was finished and just starting to clean off the Workbench when Paul signalled me over. We went to the back of the plant where an old Window had been boarded over probably Twenty Years ago. Someone tried breaking in last night and had broken a piece of the heavy Chipboard off. Luckily the window framing had stopped them from gaining entry. Paul found an old piece of Plywood that was way too small to close the opening. He also pointed to some Metal Bars that had numerous holes in them that were used for hanging large parts on the line and explained what he wanted done.

Back at the Compound I had to find Nuts and Washers that would fit some Ready-Rod we had. The Nuts were 8mm Metric and the Ready-Rod was 3/8 Standard. There was no way he was going to go buy a Dozen Nuts to make the job easier. Instead he told me to run the Nut over the Ready-Rod and it would changed the Thread. Finding a Drill I headed back with my hands and pockets rather full.

Walking outside through the high grass I spotted the piece of Chipboard that had been torn off. After wedging it back in place then adding the Plywood I worked until the job was completed. Just then Kharin showed up he told me I couldn’t use those Steel Bars. When I said it was Paul that had me use them he just turned and walked away like a pouting child. It was 4:00 when I punched out and my clothes along with my Coveralls were soaking wet.

By the time I stopped at the Motor City Community Credit Union it was past 4:30 by the time I walked in the Apartment. Kathy suggested what I had been thinking about all day for supper. We had a Store Bought Medium Thin Crust Bacon Pizza along with a bottle of Carbonated Juice (Fake Wine) as a refreshment and it was wonderful.

On the 6 o’clock Local News they reported that the Windsor/Essex Region had 4 New Coronavirus Cases bringing the Active Cases down to 56.

Southwest Winds with High Humidity.

The Humidex outside only felt like 97 F (36 C) today.

I applied for an additional Two Jobs this evening On-Line and I really do agree with all the Comments on last night’s Blog. In order to keep up on my reading I’m limiting my Comments in order to not fall too far behind.

Tomorrow will be a busy day.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion or is Spam.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. I do believe the lack of communication starts at the top. Apparently, none exists between Paul and Kharin.
