Slight Improvement, Short Errand, Exploring More Of The LTVA and Making Choices.

Our Location today is La Posa South L.T.V.A., Quartzsite, Arizona, U.S.A.

We both managed to sleep the better part of the night only waking long enough to fall back to sleep. I lay in bed for nearly a half hour looking how Kathy was breathing before finally getting out of bed at 7:30 MST

Not recalling the forecast for today I began opening the Window Shades and had to wait until after 8:00 for any sign of the Sun behind the Clouds. Kathy joined me downstairs by 8:30 and the temperature had actually dropped since I had gotten up. She had little problems breathing with her CPAP Mask last night and was still feeling congested but refreshed this morning. What she didn’t appreciate was that the Congestion was draining and coming out.
Lots of empty space at La Posa South LTVA.
We took our Coffees to the Computers to get caught up on what is happening around us. Looking up from the Computers the few people that were out walking were bundled up as if they were facing the Polar Vortex that many families are experiencing back in the Northeast

It was nearly 11:00 when we headed for Quartzsite having a package to pick up at Quiet Times Greeting Card Shop on Main Street. As we arrived there was a parking spot that opened directly in front and the Truck easily fit. As I was getting out our neighbour Wayne was coming out with a few packages of his own. When asked how his wife Sue was doing his response was that she was down with the Crud again.

Once we had our package and it was nearly lunch we headed down to McDonalds where we went in and each ordered a Chicken Nugget Meal. We sat inside in a corner where we could People Watch. It was unbelievable how many people passed through those doors in that Half Hour and it will only get worse when the Big Tent comes to town in a couple of weeks.

When we arrived back at La Posa South LTVA we didn’t go straight Home but we went exploring some of the back sections that we have never been through before. On the south side of the main road through the LTVA there are lots of open areas that we recalled being filled last winter. When we finally headed north of the main road we checked out a lot of sites along the base of the mountains. It wasn’t until I saw RVs that looked familiar that I realized we were past our Trailer but a couple of washes further away from the road.
Zoomed in, our trailer from way back.
It was nearly 3:00 when we arrived back Home but you would have sworn that the Sun had already set because of the heavy Cloud Covering. Not wanting to start anything on the Trailer that late we started working on our Computers. There were a number of things we had discussed adding to make our Home Comfortable and Safer. Having added different products to the Wish List of our Account we discussed the pros and cons of each product before choosing the ones we would soon order, delay ordering but still want and deleting the ones that didn’t make the cut.

With only a glow behind the Heavy Clouds there wasn’t much to the Sunset. Supper was Chicken Noodle Soup, Blackberries on Yogurt and a couple of Cheese Sticks. We are supposed to have bright Sunshine for the next few days so we’ll see what happens. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment and click on the pictures to enlarge them. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. We had an overcast day here as well. Considering how cold it is back in Escanaba we are not complaining.

  2. It's funny how 40 feels so cold in the desert when we would love back home. I'm hoping we are done with the cold waves for awhile.

  3. That chicken soup sure looks tasty. Nothing beats chicken soup when the temperature start to fall.

  4. Better out than in, draining is the whole point to get one back to breathing normally.

We are conditioned to believe that if the sun doesn't shine it's not a nice day. Putting things in perspective, no frozen water lines, no ice on the puddles near the water stations, no need to cover all exposed extremities to ensure no frost bite, no need to scrap the windows or mirrors before driving. I think all in all we are having fantastic weather. It could be much worse.

  8. Glad Kathy is feeling a bit better. I haven't read too far back, but couldn't not stop to say hello since I'm on the computer. Have you thought of a humidifier for the 5er? I had one put on my furnace at home and it stopped the sore throats and it actually makes the house seem warmer.
