Happy New Year and Taking Care Of Chores.

Our Location today is La Posa South L.T.V.A., Quartzsite, Arizona, U.S.A.

Kathy and I hope that all our readers had a Safe and Happy New Year Celebration last night.
7:49 MST.
When we spent the early part of evening sharing our Campfire with our Friends/Neighbours Wayne and Sue we all enjoyed ourselves and appreciated the time it gave us to learn more about their lives and where they live in the state of Washington. The only problem was that even though we were warm on the front side the cool desert temperatures were attacking us from behind. By the time we got inside we were both chilled to the bone. For Wayne and myself that wasn’t a big deal but for both Sue and Kathy who had been recently fighting colds it wasn’t good.
8:01 MST.
Kathy and I had Hot Apple Cider Drinks to warm ourselves once we were inside for the night. Because Kathy double checks (Edits) the Blog for Spelling and Grammar she was Snapping in her recliner waiting for me to finish writing it. Once it was posted I still had the usual clean up and preparation for the next Blog to do on my Computer. Interestingly by the time I finished all that and verified the Blog had posted properly I managed to wake Kathy and get her standing just as the clock struck Midnight MST so I guess you can say we brought in the New Year

With all the fresh air we had while at the fire we both slept like a couple of rocks but one of us was only breathing through her mouth the entire night. By the time she joined me for breakfast she was in agony. While reading on the Computers she was nodding off even though it was a Three Cup Morning to warm ourselves.

Lunch was hot Italian Wedding Soup along with Cream Cheese covered Wheat Thins topped with a small dab of the Cranberry/Orange Relish that we’d made before Christmas
Solar Panels tied to RV Ladder.
After lunch I climbed on the roof to install some Solar Powered Lights we had purchased while in Yuma. When we come Home after the Sun has set and it is really dark it’s a little tricky locating our trailer if we don’t have any lights on. I mounted both Solar Panels to the top of the RV Ladder where they will have no problem charging. Next the LED Light Strings were wound around the Antenna Mast one tied just below the Antenna back to the Panel while the other goes from the Panel and winds its way down stopping just shy of the ground.
Sunset at 5:23 MST
Not being able to do much else I gathered the Trash then planned to dump our Waste Tanks and bring back a half a Barrel of Fresh Water. It seemed that I wasn’t the only one thinking that way. There was a lineup at both the Dumping and Fresh Water Stations and one of those people was Wayne. When we talked he said Sue was sick again today just like Kathy.
Hotdog in half a Wrap, Sweet Potato and Blackberries on Yogurt.
For supper tonight, I reheated the Sweet Potatoes along with grilling a couple of Hotdogs. Since we didn’t have any Hotdog Buns Kathy cut a Wrap in half and after putting the condiments on she wrapped the Hotdogs so we could hold them as normal.
Sunset at 5:39
The sky had started filling with Clouds around 4:00 and created quite a show for our Sunset. The new Solar Lights came on at 6:00 so I might have to adjust their angle so they’ll come on sooner. I took a walk down the path leading to where we are parked and they were quite visible from a distance.
Even the Moon couldn't break through the Clouds.
Kathy is still really congested this evening so she’s going to try my backup CPAP Mask in order for her to keep breathing in her sleep.
Our Solar Lit Antenna Mast
After a couple of errands tomorrow I’m hoping that Tech Support has responded as to why the Endoscope is not showing up on my Computer so that I can finally complete the Blue Flame Heater installation. There’s a few more calls that have to be made as well but the important thing is for Kathy to get better. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment and click on the pictures to enlarge them. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Hope Kathy feels better soon. We always use a half wrap for hot dogs and for sausages some times as well.

  2. Too bad you did no have them install your heater you would have saved that money with less propane in the last month.
