Tracking Things Down, Finding One On Our Own and Nice Warm Weather.

Our Location today is La Posa South L.T.V.A., Quartzsite, Arizona, U.S.A.

We both managed to sleep later then we normally do this morning but I had all my morning reading on the Computer finished before realizing just how late it was and woke Kathy. She couldn’t believe it was that late either so our entire day was behind schedule. We teasingly said we were on California Time.

We had barely finished breakfast when my cousin called again to say not to rush getting the information she asked about yesterday. They are holding off with their plans for another month or two. We’ll talk again later.

After getting my morning chores completed I called Amazon wondering where my orders were. One had been Cancelled by who we don’t know so they’ll be putting a rush on it now. The second was the order that the Post Office here in Quartzsite decided to return because it didn’t have the Box Number to Quiet Times. If you stand outside of either location and look past the intersection you can see the other building. Lots of people here that are not happy with the USPS in Quartzsite. There was no update whether the package had been mailed again by the seller so the Rep E-mailed them. On the last order the tracking information had not been updated since January 10th. As soon as the Amazon Representative started searching the screen suddenly updated to the 20th putting its location in Phoenix. They must be walking it here. The Rep sent off another E-mail inquiring about the delays. Now we have to wait Two Business Days for replies from either of these sellers.

Since it was past 1:00 by the time I got off the phone I suggested we go out for lunch. We were soon on our way to the Mainstreet Restaurant where Kathy had a Salad and I had a Soup and Sandwich for our meal. Neither was overfilling but satisfying enough that we weren’t hungry when we left.

There is definitely less traffic in town today now that the Big Tent has closed but it seems some people think that means they can use the roads for racing their ATVs and Side-by-sides. We simply wanted to drive across the road to the Roadrunner grocery store.

Kathy went in while I walked the short distance over to Quiet Times Greeting Card Shop on Main Street. Even without a Tracking Number by just showing my ID they remember a package arriving from the Post Office for me this morning. Probably around the time I was on the phone with Amazon.

When I got back to the Roadrunner grocery store Kathy had only gotten a few things but had been looking at what was available. Within a few minutes we were in line at the Checkout. Since the US has been experiencing so many Earthquakes lately there was one person in there boasting he couldn’t wait for the Big One so he could launch his boat from his front yard. Kathy just told him to go launch it and never mind waiting for the big one we don’t want that! Just leave the rest of us alone. She got agreeing nods from other customers in line.

It was nearly 3:00 when we got back Home at La Posa South LTVA. Kathy was still feeling tired from taking the Mucinex for her Congestion issues and my shoulder has been bothering me a lot lately so we just sat at the Computers catching up on what is happening in the world. Since it was 81 F (27 C) outside in the shade it was the perfect time for doing this as well as the northwest winds were keeping the inside of the trailer cooler.

It wasn’t until we noticed that it was getting dark inside the trailer what time it was. We felt slightly hungry but didn’t know what we wanted to eat. Not feeling like cooking we headed back into Quartzsite to Taco Mio where we had Fish and Chips. They are practically back to their normal service now that the Big Tent is closed. We seemed to have arrived just when things had slowed down but by the time we were leaving the place was filling up again. Nice to not have to cook sometimes!

Driving back in La Posa South we were really happy to be able to spot the location of our trailer in the dark thanks to the Solar Powered String Lights that I installed on our Antenna Mast.

Tomorrow we have a few things to take care of in the morning but we might be doing some wandering after that. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment and click on the pictures to enlarge them. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Words of Inspiration

Happiness was not made to be boasted, but enjoyed. Therefore tho' others count me miserable, I will not believe them if I know and feel myself to be happy.

  1. I've had the same problems with the USPS. They suck!! They returned a package to Amazon because because it was sent by UPS to my post office box. Luckily, Amazon gave me credit.

  3. Looks like I missed another great sunset, but you caught it for me. Great picture.

Getting mail can be aggravating. In the five winters I have been traveling, only used mail once, so that's one less aggravation.

Glad the congestion is better in town and things are getting back to normal.

  4. How about a picture of your solar powered string lights. I'd be interested.
