Missed Visitor, Great Lunch, Learning To Deal With The USPS, and Blogger Drop-In

Our Location today is La Posa South L.T.V.A., Quartzsite, Arizona, U.S.A.

You could say that it was a little chilly last night dipping down to the Low 40’s. Talking at breakfast Kathy said she was “Snug as Bug” all night. The smile disappeared from her face when I explained there were more blankets on the floor on her side of the bed then I had in the middle of the night until I slowly readjusted them.

We got things straightened around expecting an early morning visitor before we settled in at our Computers to check our E-Mail. That was when we got the news that the visit was off so we had our first cup of Coffee of the morning. We made certain we didn’t miss reading anybody before getting extra chores done.

We didn’t think there would be much open today since it was a National Holiday in celebration of Martin Luther King but we knew that Restaurants and Laundromats would probably be exempt. Since we had so much laundry to do last week I hadn’t done the Bed Sheets. I quickly changed our bedding and we were out the door before noon.

When we arrived at the Main Street Diner we immediately went in for lunch. With Becky as our waitress she told us about today’s special so we never even looked at the menu. It was called the Southwestern Beef Sandwich which had Shredded Beef, Mozzarella Cheese, Sautéed Peppers and Onions on Toasted Sour Dough Bread. Kathy had a Salad with her’s while I chose Sweet Potato Fries. It melted in your mouth, was not chewy like some sandwiches we’ve had and tasted wonderful.

By 1:00 I had our Bedding in a Washer and Thirty Minutes later in a Dryer. I had figure it would take an Hour but since this type of bedding can only be dried using cool air it needed an extra Ten Minutes to do the job.

As we were leaving I noticed Quiet Times Greeting Card Shop was open so I stopped to inquire about the USPS notice I had received. We had started ordering things from Amazon before ever stepping foot in their building using the address displayed On-Line. Not all Amazon Suppliers use Fed-Ex or UPS but the USPS. When they do that the address needs a Box ## on it or the USPS will not deliver it even to a place such as Quiet Times. Odds are very great that even with my showing up with the Shipping Number the Post Office will likely return our package. Another thing you have to do is not list it as a P.O. Box or the suppliers will not ship their wares.

Once we were back Home in La Posa South LTVA it didn’t take long to put things away before I got on the phone. I called Amazon to first change my Shipping Address and to attempt to have them change the Shipping Address on the package presently being held at the Quartzsite Post Office. I was on hold for less then Five Seconds before talking to a Representative. She couldn’t understand why the Post Office would not deliver the Package and why I couldn’t change the Shipping Address myself. This is Small Town America that does not have door to door delivery and I am not an American Citizen so am not allowed to add or alter and address that I’ve never used before. It took less then Twelve Minutes for her to complete that task.

I’ll still attempt to retrieve our parcel tomorrow.
Perogies with Sour Cream, Shredded Cheese and Bacon Bits.
You can see Kathy's Honey covered Bagel
and our pieces of Fruit Cake.
For supper Kathy decided to finish some open packages in the Freezer and Fridge. She served me the last of the Perogies while she indulged herself with a Bagel covered with Honey. We also finished the last of the Fruit Cake Sampler that we ordered On-Line last week.
Paula aka Shadowmoss dropping off the signs for Blogger-Fest.
As we were just finishing our meal a red vehicle pulled up to our site. Having gotten a E-Mail Message that was relayed from George from OurAwesome Travels we knew who it was. It was Paula aka Shadowmoss from the blog In the Shadows. She was here to drop off the (Original) Blogger-Fest signs. As she said she was playing with Murphy. If the signs were here before Blogger-Fest she would surely be here on time for the get together. If she had the signs with her and she were delayed she was worried about attendees not being able to find its location.

Since we are having issues with our rig this winter instead of traveling around exploring different areas as we planned, we chose to set ourselves up for the winter here at La Posa South LTVA. That means we’ll be close at hand to help set things up. I also managed to Officially Reserve the Ramada for Blogger-Fest for Saturday January 27th, 2018 between 1-4 pm. Anyone that Writes, Reads or Follows Blogs if you are in the area you are more then Welcome to drop in and attend. Hoping to see you all here in Twelve Days.

We have another busy day tomorrow so we’ll see what happens. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment and click on the pictures to enlarge them. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
