No Cowboy Nachos Today, Enjoyable Visits, Finding Our Blogger Friends and Not Your Average Jeep.

Our Location today is La Posa South L.T.V.A., Quartzsite, Arizona, U.S.A.

Once again those of us that are advertising the Blogger Fest on our Sites are really hoping that if anyone is reading this they will stop in if they are in the area of La Posa South LTVA near Quartzsite this coming Saturday the 27th between 1-4 pm at the Ramada (Pavilion). This is not just for RV Bloggers but Followers as well, so feel free to stop in for a visit.

Since we had plans for this morning, we set the alarm before going to bed last night. It was a good thing too because covering yourself up to keep warm without the use of a heater definitely makes you sleep more soundly and even your body loses track of time.

When we started opening the Window Shades this morning we didn’t have to worry about the Sun being too bright. The clouds were so thick we wondered how many layers of clothing we’d need to wear to keep warm. We spent a short while on our Computers because we had things to do and someplace to be. Kathy was feeling the Congestion building again. It was over Eighteen Hours since she last took the Mucinex. With my encouragement she took another to start her day.

Once I’d finished my inside chores I had more to do outside. We still had the Fresh Water Barrel that was too heavy to lift from the Truck. Remember our not so short Showers we took last night? I replaced the water we used and by the time I refilled the Fresh Water Tank in the Trailer there was only Fifteen Gallons left in the Barrel which I easily lifted from the Truck.

Even though our Luncheon Date was for 11:30 and on a normal day we could be there in Fifteen Minutes I convinced Kathy to leave around 10:45. We had barely left the front gate at La Posa South when the traffic started slowing down. It may have been a week day but there were still plenty of people heading to the RV Show near the Big Tent. It took over a Half Hour to travel that distance.

We had convinced our friends Gordon and Sheryl that they had to try the Cowboy Nachos that are served every Thursday at the Mainstreet Restaurant. When we walked in the owner Michelle immediately knew why we were there and came to apologize. They were having a hard time keeping up with regular orders and had suspended the Luncheon Specials for the rest of January. When Gordon and Sheryl arrived, we gave them the bad news but that didn’t matter we all chose something from the Salad Part of the Menu.
Enjoying lunch with Sheryl and Gordon.
When we first met these wonderful people we just seemed to click and today was no different. We seem to have the same likes and dislikes as well as our opinions on many subjects were the same. The conversation never stopped the entire time we were having our meal. Since the Restaurant was filling up and people were waiting to get in we suggested they come back to our Trailer.
My Southwest Salad.
Getting out of the parking lot onto Main Street was a little tricky because the traffic was nearly non-stop but I took my time so they could catch up. When we reached La Posa South I took the long slow drive over the Wash north of the paved road. They teased us about taking the scenic route.
Saying So Long to Gordon and Sheryl after a Pleasant Visit.

Even though the sky was suddenly very clear, with the 25 MPH Wind Gusts we sat inside and the conversation picked up where it left off on everything from Grandchildren, to Batteries in our RVs, Places we’ve all been, to LTVAs. They have often boondocked on BLM lands but had never stayed in LTVAs. They could not believe how inexpensive it is. They might be spending more time moving around the LTVAs. Time just flew by and it was nearly 3:00 when we said our “See you again soon”. They’ll be leaving next week but should be back next month. They really want to try those Cowboy Nachos.
They are headed for their next adventure.

Yesterday when we drove around looking for Jim and Barb’s Trailer from the Blog Jim and Barb’s RV Adventure, I mention how we checked their normal area but didn’t see them there before extending our search. Following Jim’s instructions, we went back to where we looked yesterday and sure enough we had seen their trailer but didn’t recognize it.
From our spot, Looking left of the white Motorhome.
That's where Jim and Barb are.
When we saw the door was open I gave a lite knock Daisy and Dakota immediately came to the door excited they had company. I think I woke Jim from his afternoon Siesta. He razed us about ending up in the Clothing Optional Area. Barb was out running errands but soon Steve and Debbie McCormack from the Blog Down the Road came across the path and joined in on the visit. Soon Barb came driving up seeing a small crowd gathered at their spot. I had to postpone our planned Campfire for tonight due to the high winds but the wind should calm down in the next day and we might even see them at the Blogger-Fest.
See there they are.
It was past 4:00 when we took off. Kathy didn’t feel like cooking so we decided to just go to McDonalds for our supper. We were surprised how few people were there when we arrived but by the time we left the place was filling up.

That's a Jet Drive on the rear.
The License says it all.
Anyone that says you don’t see anything interesting at McDonalds should come to Quartzite. Not only do you see Antiques driving the streets or Classics using the Drive Thru, you also see unique Amphibian Vehicles stopping in.
Another great Sunset.

Another great day meeting up with friends and making plans for the future. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment and click on the pictures to enlarge them. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
