Since late Tuesday night I have
not taken any more of the Generic
Mucinex medication. After experiencing relief from the congestion cause by
the “Crud” I wanted my own immune
system to take over again. Knowing that we would have a busy day I set a mental
note that I wanted to wake up before 8:00 MST.
My brain apparently didn’t get the message! With the Window Shades keeping most of the sunlight out of the bedroom when I
rolled over and looked at my Watch my
first thought was that it had stopped last night. When I went downstairs and
saw that the Wall Clocks agreed I went
into shock. It was well past 9:30!
Even when I shook Kathy
awake and told her we slept in she thought I was joking. When she said her
watch had stopped I had to tell her to believe it. We both felt well rested but
it was like we had just gone to bed.
For breakfast it was a simple
snack with our coffee before we started getting ready to go. It has been twelve
days since the last time so today was Laundry
Day. It didn’t take long but it was still after 11:00 when I started
loading the Truck. We had planned on
doing other errands as well but in a more relaxed manner then we were presently
in.
Packages that were shipped to us. |
It was 11:40 when we
arrived at the Main
Street Diner in Quartzsite.
Figuring that we would be busy later we started by having our lunch. On Thursday’s Lunch Menu they serve what
they call a Cowboy’s Nachos. They
make their own Kettle Potato Chips covered
with their own Nacho Blend. When you
start eating them you just can’t stop until they are all gone. They were that
good and we were both very satisfied. We had left in such a hurry we forgot the
camera at Home
so there is no picture but I’ll get one in the future.
After checking how busy the
Main Street Laundromat
was we got our Laundry from
the truck and were on our way in when we ran into Wayne and Sue our neighbours.
They were there to get some washing done as well. Once the Washers were going we had a chance to talk. They left with their Laundry wet with plans for the Sun to dry it on their lines. It only
took Twenty-Five Minutes in the Dryers before Kathy and I started folding
it all.
After leaving the Laundromat
our next stop was the Quiet Times Greeting Card Shop to pick up Packages
that had been shipped to us. The place was busy enough that there was a line up
of people getting things. They were surprised that we had Five Packages in my name. Judging from the weight and size we didn’t
think everything was here. Since they were closing shortly all they could say
was to check our tracking numbers.
The first thing we did after
getting back Home
was to open all the Windows, Vents and Door. The outside temperature was only 63 F (17 C) but inside
the temp was in the 80’s. Once
everything was inside the next thing I did was to go On-Line to check all our Tracking
Numbers and the Package Contents.
Some of the things that we thought had not arrived had been added with other
things and a few things we were hoping for are still in the Mail. One item we had no Tracking Number for and were surprised to
receive the new power cord for our Weboost.
With only a slight breeze
it was perfect to cook a Pizza on
our Weber Q. Preheating our 12” Pizza Stone then adding a Store-Bought Pizza on a 12” Pizza Pan it took 30 Minutes
and it was perfect.
Even though I totally missed
the Sunrise I managed to get a few
nice Sunset pictures today. Thanks for following along, feel free to
leave a comment and click on the pictures to enlarge them. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

You just gave me a great idea. Reheating our pizza on the barbecues!!! Glad you are feeling better!!
ReplyDeleteI think the sleep in did you both wonders. Sleep can cure a lot of ailments. I know many times I go to bed aching so bad I think I'll not be able to walk the next day. But after a good night's sleep, I'm ready to go at it again.
ReplyDeleteLoved the sun shining through the trees.
It is great to get up after a good nights sleep and feel better. Tom and I are both starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
