I wasn’t happy when I had to scrape the Windows on the Truck because I forgot to set the Cooling System to Defrost yesterday. By doing that every night and starting the Truck remotely the Windows need little if any attention when I get out there. I made certain to set it when I came home today.

I was in the process of doing more Touch-Ups this morning when Paul came to ask an odd question. He needed to know what was the longest Feedscrew that the Plasma Transfer Arc could accommodate. Out came the Tape Measures and we headed over to find out. The end result was that we had to turn down a job.

The Customer had a Unit that was 335 Inches Long and our PTA could only handle a Screw of 334 Inches Long. Being a Raw Shaft at 10.5 Inches Diameter it would have weighed Eight Thousand Pounds and a Single Weld Pass would have taken Sixteen Hours. It would not have been so bad if more than person knew how to operate the PTA but I am now, the only one in the Plant that does. Even our Sandbox used to slow cool the Feedscrews was Five Feet short.

The last Touch-Up of the day was a shocker. The Feedscrew was already Chromed and Buffed before someone saw an Imperfection on a Flight. Using a low heat setting on the TIG Welder the moment heat was applied to the spot, it erupted like a miniature Volcano. It was fixed but we’ll re-examine it in the morning.

Lately when I am on my way home from work the Truck goes into ReGen to clean the Diesel Particulate Filter. Since the end of my route brings me in the City the action normally leaves others behind me in a Blue Cloud. I’m certain I get called a lot of nasty names, but this is a Government Approved Process. Today I ran a quick errand to the Legion and sure enough the Truck went into ReGen. Being near the ramp to the 401 Highway I took it allowing the Truck to run at Highway Speed to clean out the Filter. I exited at Manning Road and stayed at slightly slower Highway Speeds until reaching our building. Hopefully that will take care of that issue for a while.

We shared a Store Bought Medium Thin Crust Pizza that I added extra Mozzarella Cheese to for supper.

The 6 o’clock Local News showed that we could be seeing near Springlike Temperatures in a Week before getting back to Seasonal Temperatures.

Kathy has been looking for replacement End Tables since we moved here Three Years ago. Tonight she spotted what she wanted on Facebook Marketplace. This works on a First Come, Cash Only Basis, but it was a bargain. Derek even helped me load them in the Car.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
