Back Order So Here’s The Next Best.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I can’t say that I was up bright and early when it was still dark outside when I parked the Car at Planet Fitness. My workout went well and even though it was the same as Thursday by the time I got home my Hip was starting to bother me.

If you look just above the Handrail you can see
Contractors working on the drains in the parking lot.
There is an underground garage beneath.

The Contractors were already chipping away at the parking lot when I arrived at 8:30. With Kathy still fighting the Congestion and Coughing that has been bothering her for the last week her quality of sleep has been suffering. It was no surprise to find her just getting out of bed when I walked into the Apartment. While she worked at getting focused I made Sunny Side Eggs on Toast for our breakfast.

On the Computer there were no Job Ads that I had not seen before so the morning was spent reading Blogs until our eyes started having trouble staying open. We both leaned back for a Snap which helped to reinvigorate us.

Kathy was still fighting the Congestion so for lunch I made Chicken Noodle Soup with Mandarin Orange Slices and the Leftover Pecan Pie for dessert. We actually enjoyed part of our lunch without any noise when the Contractors themselves stopped for lunch. When they started back we knew it was the perfect time to run some errands and a chance for Kathy to get out of the Apartment.

The first place we went was Guardian Storage to collect our Mail. There were a few pieces that were unexpected but nothing for us to worry about.

Heading towards the grocery store we noticed the prices had again increased at the gas stations. Gasoline was going for $1.952/Litre ($7.388/US Gallon) and Diesel was up to $2.309/Litre ($8.739/US Gallon).

Since we are still well stocked on most of our Food Stocks it cost less then Twenty Dollars at Dollarama and less then Sixty Dollars at Zehr’s grocery store. We also stopped at Wendy’s where we used a Coupon to purchase supper at a reasonable price. Like the ad say we “Skipped the Dishes”.

It was nearly 5:00 when we got back too the building and the Contractors were gone. After getting our purchases put away we turned on the Television in preparation to watch the 6 o’clock Local News. Unfortunately it was delayed by Forty Minutes this evening due to a PGA Tournament that was being played in the Rain.

By that time Kathy’s Cough and Congestion were not getting any better and she didn’t want to use the Buckley’s we had because it was past the Best Before Date. She also did not want to go to a Walk-In Clinic so I headed to the Drug Store.

I started with the Shoppers Drug Mart closest to where we live. When I got back home I had been to Seven Different Pharmacies and none had any Buckley’s Original Cough Syrup. The commercials say “It tastes terrible but it works” and they are right. It has become so popular that it is presently on Back-Order with no Approximate Date For Delivery. When I reviewed Kathy’s symptoms with the Pharmacists they agreed that Buckley’s would have been the best to use. Instead I came home with the second best. It’s Benylin Extra Strength for Cough and Chest Congestion. It also tastes terrible and seems to be clearing up the Congestion so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.

We also noticed Kathy’s stomach wasn’t bothering her today because I was making certain she was eating enough.

The Weather Network showed we reached a high of 63 F (17 C) which was quite good considering the Northeast Wind that was gusting to 30 MPH (50 KPH). We have some nice weather heading our way especially for tomorrow.

Kathy and I would like to wish all our Female Readers a Safe and Happy Mothers Day.

  3. Your gasoline prices are rather steep, but at least you receive free medical in return.

Happy Mother's Day to Kathy and all the ladies that read your blog.

  4. Glad Kathy's stomach stuff is better; hope the congestion does the same with some good cough syrup. That's a pretty good looking piece of pie.
