Even
though we slept in until 7:30 this morning we didn’t have
much extra time to sit around. After having Toast with Rhubarb
Sauce for breakfast we sat at the Computers drinking hot
Coffee/Tea because we no longer have any Neo Citran
Daytime medication for our Congestion
problems.
We were dressed and out the door by 9:30. Our first stop was the WFCU Center. You may recall that was where the original Vaccination Center was set up for the Windsor/Essex Region. For the next few days it will serve as an Early Voting Poll for the Ontario Provincial Election. When we walked into the lobby there was a Poll Clerk there telling the Twelve People there that we would have to wait until the Poll opened at 10:00.
When I looked closer at the couple directly in front of us I realized it was Grant and his wife Sandy. I worked for many years with Grant before we retired due to the Plant Closure in 2009. A few years after we sold our house and moved into the Tecumseh Terrace Apartments only to find that Grant and Sandy lived directly above us. They moved Two Months before we started Fulltiming. We quickly got caught up and exchanged Phone Numbers before the Voting Poll opened.
The process was quick and easy but by the time we were heading down that long corridor to leave there were at least a Hundred People waiting to do their civic duty.
Our next stop was back at Hearing Life in Tecumseh. We were early and there were others ahead of Kathy. Even though she had just gotten her Hearing Aides serviced a couple weeks ago today she was there to pick up her New Hearing Aides. She noticed a huge difference the moment she put them on and these are rechargeable so she won’t have to stop visiting with someone so she can change the Batteries. The best part is they’re totally covered by our Insurance. It was nearly noon by the time all the paperwork was signed.
Since
the Shoppers Drug Mart closest to our place was out of stock
for what we needed last night we stopped at the Tecumseh
location. They at least had the Vitamins we needed but not the
Daytime Neo Citran. It seems everyone is
having Congestion problems in our
area and are taking multiple doses of the Daytime Meds
while still working. Being this was Thursday they consider
this Seniors Shopping Day which entitled us to a Twenty
Percent Discount off all our purchases.
We stopped at Wendy’s where we had their Chicken Wraps, Small Chocolate Frosties and Seniors Soft Drinks for our lunch.
Driving to another Shoppers Drug Mart we found a single box of the Daytime formula.
We then headed to the Motor City Community Credit Union to pick up some laundry money. With all the Congestion I’ve had this week a lot of Hankies got used and now need to be cleaned.
A quick stop at Dollarama where Kathy stayed in the Car while I quickly retrieved some healthy snacks that will last through this month.
At Zehr’s we only picked up a few things that would hold us through the upcoming Long Weekend. By this time my Hip was telling me I needed to stop. It felt like someone sticking a Knife in my groin.
Thankfully our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart helped to get almost everything upstairs. I had to sit for a short while before I could put the groceries away.
Since I had cooked everything yesterday we had Stir-Fry Wraps for supper along with the Pineapple for dessert.
The 6 o’clock Local News reported on the upcoming Provincial Election and where the Rallies are turning into Super Spreader Events. Lots of Candidates have been testing Positive for the Coronavirus. They also mentioned 11 Active Coronavirus Cases for the Windsor/Essex Region.
Network showed we reached a high of 75 F (24 C) though it felt warmer. Tomorrow could set a new record for our area. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion or is Spam.

It is always good to do your civic duty I wish more people would realize how important it is to our democracy for them to get out and vote.
ReplyDeleteHearing Aids are very expensive here and are not covered by most insurance companies.
Hi. Just testing to see if I can comment again. Thanks
