Now I Know Why, Assembling and Warming Up Again.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

There was more traffic on the road this morning since most working people were returning to their jobs today. Watching the Thermometer on the dash I was surprised to see it rise from Chilly when first leaving our Apartment to Comfortable by the time I arrived at the Plant.

There were already Two Carriers waiting for my attention when I arrived but they would wait until I would return from my Morning Walk Around. Within Ten Minutes I was returning them to the Paint Line.

It was at that point I continued making the Parts for the Carriers and making slight adjustments to the Jig. It was close to 8:30 when Paul the Owner checked with me to see if everything was good. (I thought that strange because he had never done that before.) So I mentioned that Kharen the Supervisor had wanted to try the First Carrier before I continue building more. When I pointed out that Carrier and the Products it would hold he was impressed and told me to just keep making them because Kharen was On Vacation for the next Two Weeks. (That’s why I didn’t see him yesterday.)

By my Lunch Break I had tacked all the Clips big and small that would be used on these Carriers and had stood the Jig in the corner out of my way. (That was not how I found the Compound on my First Day with Jigs that made no sense welded to the Workbenches.)

On my break Kathy told me she had just gotten in from our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Even though I had moved things so they would be easier to check through she had moved others on her own and was now feeling it. She had just taken an Extra Strength Tylenol to ease the Pain.

When I got back to the Compound there were Two More Carriers waiting for repair. The One looked like a Pretzel but Thirty Minutes later when I returned them to the Line there was no sign of a problem.

I still managed to mount the Upper Tiers on the Shaft on the remaining Nineteen Carriers before the end of the shift. With no unforeseen problems tomorrow Paul will have the Twenty Carriers he requested.

Neither of us were too hungry so we had a Store Bought Medium Thin Crust Spinach Pizza for supper.

On our 6 o’clock Local News for the Windsor/Essex Region they reported 40 New Coronavirus Cases all of which appear to be Variants of Concern.

Our temperature today only felt like 82 F (28 C) but will slowly start to climb starting tomorrow. By the weekend we’ll be looking at temperatures feeling above the Century Mark again.

I didn’t have the chance to work on our Shopping Cart this evening. Here’s to a better day tomorrow.

What do you call a belt with a watch on it?

A waist of time.

  1. Nice to have a couple of weeks without Kharen. Maybe by the time he returns, you'll have a new position. :)
