Jack-Of-All-Trades.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

I’d like to thank everyone for your words of encouragement towards the new job. Fortunate for me that today was not the first day because I kept waking throughout the night doing it. This job not only involves Welding and Fabricating but equipment Preventive Maintenance and even some minor Electrical trouble shooting as well. The only downside to this job is since it is a single shift operation if there is a breakdown I’ll have to stay late until it is back up and running so production can start first thing at the beginning of their next shift.

The sky looked a little different this morning.

When Kathy joined me she wasn’t too surprised when she saw that I was making Pancakes for breakfast but there was a problem. Being that I slept a little later because I had a busy night my eyes were not fully open when I made her Chocolate Chip Pancake. It more then filled the plate and even though I had a more reasonably sized Pancake of my own I also had to help her finish her’s.

There are still Job Ads showing up on my Computer this morning like the one that I’ve applied for a Dozen Times. Another one I found interesting was the job that I have just been hired to do. For the heck of it I copied it to a Document so Kathy could read it. When she did she claimed I was being hired as a Jack-Of-All-Trades. From what I was shown she would be right.

Needing to run some errands but still full from breakfast we simply had a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch. We didn’t even have anything to drink or a dessert.

We were out the door by 12:30 and were not surprised to see someone moving in considering this is the middle of the month.

The first place we went to was to where I will be working. It is definitely an old building but like they say “Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover” it’s what’s inside that counts.

Our next stop was Dollarama where we picked up Food Stocks cheaper then those at the grocery store.

We then made a quick stop at the Bulk Barn again getting more supplies cheaper then those at the grocery store.

Walking next door to the Zehr’s grocery store we needed some of our regular staples but we also needed to pick up supplies for my lunches.

Back at our building we lucked out finding Two Shopping Carts near the back entrance to bring everything up to the Apartment. Once they were unloaded I returned them downstairs before parking the Car.

By the time we got everything put away the 6 o’clock Local News was starting. We learned there were 52 New Coronavirus Cases in the Windsor/Essex Region bringing the total Active Cases to 353.

The high temperature for our area today reached 73 F (23 C).

For supper tonight we had a Store Bought Medium Thin Crust Spinach Pizza.

After getting the Dishes all cleaned up we watched a couple of Hallmark Movies.

Krackers

Some people are like Slinkies. Good for nothing, but they do make you smile when you push them down the stairs.

  4. Try and look at having to stay and get things up and running should there have been a problem/breakdown as a positive thing! Such as overtime.
