We both slept like a couple of rocks last night mostly because of the Thunderstorms that we had during the night that left behind another Half Inch of Rain. When I saw that we had slept in until 8:00 this morning I started rushing to get the morning started. Normally this would not matter but because we had a 10:30 appointment with Mary from Healthy Heals coming here we had a few things we wanted to get cleaned up first.

As soon as we’d finished eating breakfast we started getting ready for her arrival while our Coffee/Tea was cooling down. Just as the clock struck 9:00 the Phone rang. Last week when Mary had to cancel because her Mother had fallen and was taken to the Emergency. Being exposed to that environment for nearly Nine Hours by the time she called to remind us of the new appointment yesterday she barely sounded like herself. This morning she could barely get out of bed. Sore Throat, Congestion, Cough and Achy all over so she didn’t want to pass that on to her Patients. Kathy has now been rescheduled again until next week. With that kind of news we also had the chance to relax and enjoy a second cup at a more leisurely pace along with catching up on all the Blogs we follow as well as other News.
We also noticed that we had a Visitor checking out Kathy's Fairy Garden this morning.

After I’d finished my upstairs chores it was time for Kathy to start going through her Cupboard. She normally does that Twice a year but did not get around to doing that this past Winter. By the time she finished that this morning she had a fair sized Bag that will be donated.

Since the Hard-Drive was replaced on my Laptop last year I have not been able to Print any Documents. I had spent Hours over the Winter trying to reset this and that with no luck because the Computer would no longer recognize our Printer. This morning after changing even more settings I was finally able to make it print. I was trying to scan our “Proof of Purchase” for our RV so I could send the E-Mail for our defective Propane/Carbon Dioxide Detector. I finally took a picture then edited it in Photoshop.
Since our Lite Breakfast was long past Kathy decided we’d have supper for lunch. She served us Hot Beef on Rye Sandwiches with Gravy and a Coleslaw side with Watermelon pieces for dessert.

After cleaning up our dishes Kathy had some research to do while I took the Trash over to the Park Trash and Recycle Area. On my return I checked our Propane Tanks to be certain that we were far from running out. While walking on the Grass water from the overnight Rain was being pushed from the ground. There were a few other things that I managed to do before going inside.
The temperature hit 79 F (26 C) and The Weather Network showed that it felt warmer. Even though it was fairly Sunny at that point with the Thirty-Four MPH Wind Gusts that we were experiencing it didn’t feel like 70 F (21 C). By 4:30 the heavy Winds had taken their toll on Kathy’s nerves. (Due to close encounters with Tornadoes at a young age.) When she couldn’t decide what to make for supper we headed for Amherstburg with a plan. It wasn’t until we arrived that we realized our Camera was still back at Home.

The first thing we did was to go to Soup and Salad for supper. We each enjoyed a bowl of their Homemade Tomato and Garlic Soup along with a Diet Soda. We also shared a Greek Wrap. These are so packed that we cannot eat one by ourselves. We were well satisfied when we left. The best part is it is far cheaper then eating at a Fast-Food.

The next stop was No-Frills grocery store to pick up a few things like Cereal and Bleach. A few other things also found their way in our Cart but it was all at lower prices then other outlets.

The last stop was our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s house for our weekly visit. We always have fun talking about different things that normally includes lots of laughter. We had thought that we should bring a small snack along and were surprised that Melissa had also done the same thing. Let’s just say some of it was left behind for their Teenage Sons to finish off.

We arrived Home after 9:30. Tomorrow we have to be in Tecumseh by 11:00 so we’ll see how that goes. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  3. Your meal looks very colorful and delicious.

There is so much rain, floods, tornados and bad weather everywhere that I feel lucky even with our temperatures in the 90's and the bad hair days due to the humidity.

I enjoyed your words of inspiration today.
