The fact that my Eyes were closing on me while posting the Blog was a sign of just how tired I was last night. I didn’t even remember laying down in bed. What I did remember were the Birds singing their songs welcoming the Sun and a start to another day. At least it was only 7:30 when that happened so it was easier to recover.

Kathy joined me downstairs shortly after 8:00 where we finished the last of our Rhubarb Sauce we made last week by using it as a spread on Toast. Even with her appointment this morning we had time to enjoy one Coffee/Tea while sitting at the Computers.
Having parked our Truck in the Overflow Parking Area last night meant that I didn’t have to rush to do it this morning. That also opened our second parking spot on our Site for Mary from Healthy Heals to be able to park. She was right on time after having to reschedule Kathy’s appointments Two Weeks in a row. The first time being that her 91 year old Mother had fallen and had been rushed to the Emergency. The second time was due to spending Nine Hours with her Mother in Emergency she had picked up a bug and was extremely sick herself.

Due to Kathy’s Diabetes this treatment is covered by our Health Care Provider but when we travel to the US it is not. That is when I take over. Mary showed me how to do it years back and we even have our own tools to do it that are only used on Kathy’s feet. When we return to Windsor I let Mary have her job back. She is a Registered Nurse specially trained in Foot-Care and can spot things that I might otherwise miss. It was close to 12:30 when she left and Kathy’s Feet felt much better and pain-free.
While I readied the Italian Wedding Soup for lunch Kathy made us a Chicken Sandwich that we shared along with a scoop of Coleslaw and a Pudding Cup for dessert.

Kathy wanted to check our accounts before we left so I walked to the Park Exercise Room. I felt much better once I had finished my routine but I didn’t walk back to the Trailer. Instead I walkover to the Overflow Parking Area and drove the Truck back to our Site where we can be certain nothing happens to it.

Minutes later we were heading out of the Park heading for Windsor. Our first stop was Guardian Storage where we gathered our Mail before dropping off a few more things in our Climate Controlled Storage Unit.
Our next stop was at Green Shield to drop off the Claim Form for Mary’s services this morning. We pay for it out of pocket but should have the Refund in hand by the end of next week. They are not open on the weekends and since we had other errands to run today was perfect.
Retro look.
We then drove over to Princess Auto. I had purchased a tool the other day but upon closer inspection it wasn’t made very well so I wanted to exchange it for a better quality tool. Kathy likes to look around the Surplus Section of the store but joined me after. With some discussion she convinced me to by a much higher priced unit but with a Two Year Warranty we know that it will last.
Retro inside with pictures of all the local outlets.
We were actually experiencing temperatures that felt like 91 F (33 C) this afternoon. Since it had been a while since we had Fish and Chips we opted to eat out. We have mention how we enjoy having the Fish and Chips at One of the Five Michigan Dinners in the area so that was where we opted to go. The closest one had change its name to Hi-Ho but still has the same owner. This location back in the 40’s to early 70’s was a Hi-Ho outlet. At that time there were actually Eight of them in Windsor where the waitresses actually Roller-Skated to your cars. Today you can still get that same quality of food but it is Dine-In only.
This location back in the day.
After having a wonderful meal we were Home shortly before 6:00 where we got caught up on our reading we missed out on this morning. Since this is Friday Night someone over in the Transient Area is playing their music quite loud. Have you ever seen someone evicted from a Park in the middle of the night? Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

An optician goes into a bar.

Two glasses and he's made a spectacle of himself.

  1. When people choose to ignore rules they should be thrown out.

  2. Glad Kathy got her feet taken care of, when your feet hurt you are aching all over.

  3. Did they really kick them out? I've wished that would happen many a time, but I've never seen it in person. I don't understand why people feel the need to be loud when so close to other campers.

  4. Yes we have seen people evicted in the middle of the night. At our provincial park the park manager doesn't mess around with noise complaints. You get one warning and then you are evicted, no matter what time it is. Although often the people have been drinking as well and in that case they are sent to bed and evicted in the morning.

  5. Glad Mary was finally able to treat Kathy's feet. Hope Mary's mother is doing better after her fall.

Your wedding soup looks delicious, is it homemade?

I am sorry for you having to put up with a roudy neighbor I know what it is like, the difference is that our neighbor can not be evicted :-(

  6. Yet another full day but with a sound ending. Hopefully it doesn't happen too often there.
