We
were up at our usual time again this morning and were very surprised
to see the Sun filling the sky which meant the Solar Panels
were busy charging our Batteries. After a lite breakfast we
settled in at the Computers with our Coffee/Tea
catching up on Messages, the News, the Weather
and other RV Blogs.
Our Weather Forecast including today. Our high only hit 50 F (10 C) |
While
Kathy was corresponding with our daughter she mentioned that we
wanted to start wrapping the Gifts
for our Merry Thanksmas Celebration
soon. That seemed to bother Karen because she doesn’t understand
that while the Gifts are in our
Fifth Wheel they are taking up valuable space that we’ll
regain once they are wrapped and moved to our Climate Controlled
Storage Unit.

While
our Second Cup was cooling I completed my morning chores
before going back to do more reading. I even headed out to the Garden
Shed to store the Bin with the Wind Generator Feathers
to give us more space while we wrap all the Gifts.
I also made certain that we still have plenty of Propane to see us
through these continued cold damp days.
For
lunch we had Split Pea and Ham Soup to help warm us up along
with Mixed Berry covered Yogurt along with a couple of
Cookies for dessert.
After
getting the Dishes cleaned up Kathy started pulling clothes
from our front closet and piling it on our bed. That gave her easy
access to all the Gifts that been
stored there and a chance to rearrange the clothes when she put them
back. Once I’d hauled the Gifts to
the couch and she had replaced the clothes then I started getting
more Gifts from under the bed
while she hauled them to the couch. Finally I started taking the last
of the Gifts from our bedroom
cupboard.
We
prefer giving more personalized gifts to our Family rather
then just Gift Cards even though that is what we encourage
them to give to us. When we start our winter travels we find unique
Gifts that might not make it to
our hometown of Windsor for a few
years if at all. As we travel they have to be stored in order that
they don’t get broken. When we return back to Ontario
the Canadian Immigration Officers always give us a weird look
when we say we are declaring Christmas
Gifts.
That's all Gifts on our couch. |
When
Kathy saw the entire pile on the on the couch she could only say that
we have got to cut down much more next year. She had me print out her
Spreadsheets that details what everyone is getting but after
doing all that today the wrapping will start tomorrow.
Kathy
made a Caesar’s Salad along with some Honey Garlic
Chicken for our supper this evening and topped it off with an
Apple Sauce Cup.
Since
the Sun had already disappeared behind the Clouds this
evening we watched the movie called “The Captive” starring
Ryan Reynolds. It was about a child abduction that took years to
solve. It was totally produced and filmed in Ontario.
It didn’t have the effects of a Hollywood
movie but it did have some action. We would rate this as a
Six out of Ten.
Once
again we want to wish all our Female
Readers
a Happy
Mothers Day.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.

That's a lot of gifts, I remember when you returned last year and had to stay with Karen. Then get all those gifts wrapped when you got your home back.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mothers Day Kathy!
Gosh, that's a lot of gifts! I can't image how you packed them all!! I hope Mother Nature gives you some sun for awhile.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I think you need to cut back on the gifts too. I'm sure the children and grandchildren would understand. Ours do. LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day, Kathy.
Yes, that is way to many gifts to be hauling around.
ReplyDeleteBut, I bet it is fun when the people are getting them.
Wow that is a whole lot of goodies. We wouldn't have room for that. Hope your family appreciates all the time and effort you spend finding those special gifts. Happy Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteYou are very thoughtful in your gift giving but it does take a lot of your time just searching for the perfect gift, then recording it, hauling gifts back to Canada, not to mention wrapping and storing them At the same time I understand how much fun Kathy has in closing the right items and watching everyone open their gifts chosen with love. Eventually you will figure out the right balance for yourselves. Meanwhile put on some Christmas music and let the gift wrapping begin.
