It
didn’t take long for both of us to fall asleep after getting to bed
last night. Kathy managed to sleep the entire night not waking until
this morning while I am struggling to write the Blog due to
the Five Hours that were spent awake. I finally fell back to
sleep after 6:00 only to be wide awake before 8:00.
Inside our Gazebo with No Lights. |
I’d
barely opened The Weather Network
on my Computer when Kathy started making her way downstairs.
With the heavy Cloud cover that we were experiencing that
early in the day there was no doubt that the forecast for Rain
would be accurate. The system that would be affecting us today had
stretched all the way up from Texas
bringing lots of severe weather including Tornadoes along the
way.
Installing Lights. |
After
finishing our only cup of Coffee/Tea this morning we were out
the door to do what we could to finish setting up our Patio.
The morning temperature was nearly 80 F by 10:00 but the Wind
made it feel cooler. After I pulled out the Boxes that the
Fairy Garden Characters had all been carefully stored last
Fall Kathy started making our Garden come to life
again.
Lights installed. |
I
had another chore instead. We occasionally like to visit under the
Gazebo at night and it came become quite dark. Last year we
installed a Solar Powered LED Chandelier but it could have
been just a bit brighter. This year we are adding Two Sets of
Solar Powered LED String Lights that will just brighten the
Gazebo a little more.
After
Kathy finished her Fantasy Land she began feeling a few
sprinkles of Rain and Wind that was gusting to 39
MPH we closed up shop and headed inside for lunch. By the time we
were inside the temperature had dropped to near 60 F and the
Rain had started coming down heavier.
It
was nearly 1:00 when Kathy made up a wonderful Garden Salad
for lunch and more Bing Cherries for dessert that would tide
us over. This would give us our nutrition but not fill us up.
Here
at Wildwood Golf and RV Park
volunteers put on Small Benefits that help raise monies that
will be used to make improvements for everyone to use. Since it was
Raining we drove over to the Clubhouse
where they were having an Ice Cream Social today. Another
advantage of doing it today was there were a lot of the Weekend
Campers and their Families also taking advantage of this
Social.
Back
Home we spent the rest of the
afternoon getting caught up on the reading we didn’t do this
morning.
Around
4:30 Kathy started making Bacon, Tomato and Cheese
on Toasted Rye Sandwiches along with Creamy Coleslaw
for our supper topped off with a Sugar-Free Fruit Cup for
dessert.
Many Fields looking like this. |
As
soon as we finished washing the Dishes we were headed out of
the Park on our way to our
Daughter’s house in Tecumseh.
The Rain seemed to increase the further we went and many
Farmers Fields looked like Small Lakes.
We
had barely pulled up in front of the house when we saw Sanford’s
face appear in the Side-Light. As soon as he recognized us you
could see the Tail wagging the Dog. We had an Enjoyable
Visit with Karen and Sanford because everyone else was out
visiting with friends. We also helped to recover the Pool Cover
that the High Wind had carried Several Hundred Feet from
its storage box. The only thing that had stopped it from leaving the
yard was all the Rain that had weighed it down.
Tonight’s
low will be dropping to the Mid-Fifties
and will
be
the high for tomorrow. Welcome to our Roller-Coaster
Ride.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
