Since I wasn’t really feeling tired last night after posting our Blog just before midnight I decided to read some evening posts before going to bed. When my eyes started getting heavy I was surprised to see that it was nearly 1:00. Both Kathy and I slept like a couple of rocks but I was awake by 8:00 and barely had the Window Shades raised when Kathy joined me downstairs.
Luckily we had slept with the Windows open and even as we ate breakfast this morning we could feel the warmth of the day starting to increase. We took our Coffee/Tea to the Computers in order to find out what was happening all around us. We’ve been keeping an eye on the number of Tornadoes in the US. In as little as a week there were over 300 confirmed Tornadoes with 80 being on Sunday alone. The other day Southern Ontario had one touched down not far from Toronto. Now they are getting closer to Home.
Kathy had another Medical Test scheduled for this afternoon so other then doing our normal chores we didn’t start anything else. For lunch we each had a Chicken Leg and Thigh along with some Coleslaw as a side. We also enjoyed the fresh Pineapple that I chopped up the other day for dessert. According to Naturalists and some Doctors fresh Pineapple helps ease Arthritic Pain.
Checking the Rain Gauge as we were heading off this afternoon we noted we had gotten another Half an Inch of Rain overnight. We passed by many farmers fields that had lots of standing water. The ground has now become Over-Saturated in our area and the Ditches are nearly full.
It's "For Sale".
Kathy asked me to adjust some of the phone numbers listed in her Contacts list while she was having her Test done. She doesn’t always recognize what the Doctors are for. I simply added brackets containing words like Dentist, Optometrist, Family Doctor, Cardiologist along with grouping information for Family and Friends. Kathy had created one for someone’s House Number another for their Cell and another for their E-mails. Now it is all under one Contact.
When Kathy was finished we had a few more errands to run but we were getting hungry. We stop at a nearby Burger King where we both had a Combo that suited our appetites. What we forgot was the Time and Location of this outlet. We had just gotten our orders and sat down to eat when Kennedy High School across the street let out. Suddenly the place was filled with loud mouthed teenagers that had no manners and were bumping into us as we ate. They weren’t buying anything to eat but simply using the Free WiFi. We finished our meals and as we were leaving the City Bus came to a stop out front. Looking back all those teenagers were headed for the Bus but inside the place was then empty.

We returned to VitalAire where Taryn replaced my CPAP Mask Cushion. That is the Third one that has split after only wearing it for less then a week causing it to leak air directly into me eyes. That wakes you up real quick. The Manufacture had recently redesigned them, thinning out the material making them more pliable but causing them to fail prematurely.

Checking our Mail Box at Guardian Storage we finally had Mail today and one was a refund from Verizon Wireless. We had recently Cancelled our service because it barely worked here in Ontario even though it was supposed to. When we head south in the Fall we’ll reactivate it as a Prepay System getting the same package at a cheaper rate.

We headed to Motor City Community Credit Union where we deposited into our account.

We stopped at Princess Auto to get a High Definition Antenna that they were advertising since our Antenna has been damaged. According to the Duty Manager at the Service Desk he said there had been quite a large crowd when the store opened and everyone wanted Antennas. I now have a Rain Check for when they come in.
By the time we got Home the sky was filling with what One Meteorologist referred to as Fish Scale Clouds. He also explained that when you see these in your area you’ll have Rain within a day. When I checked The Weather Network this evening guess what they are forecasting. Today’s temperature reached 82 F (28 C) but tomorrow it will be lucky to reach 64 F (18 C). Welcome to our Roller-Coaster Weather.
For the next couple of days we don’t have any appointments. Wonder what we’ll do? Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. It sounds like you in Windsor area were the hot spot for Ontario. Crazy weather! We were in the low 50's. Nice to get your errands done.

  2. Hope you get the CPAP Mask Cushion to where it will not tear up like it has been.

  3. Nice to know about pineapple and arthritic pain. Too bad about those kids in Burger King..if they're not buying they should make them wait outside. Sounds like wearing those CPAP masks are a real pain!

  4. In our area, restaurants next to the high school only allow 5 or 6 in at a time. I always wonder why parents don't teach their kids manners.

  5. Nice to have a break from doctor appointments. I'm really grateful that we're not in the plains states this year. The weather is just wild.

  7. Leonard has tried several masks for his CPap. So many of them blow air in his eyes. Then his eyes tear all day.

Strange as there seems to be tornadoes everywhere. Just where is tornado alley now, anyway?
