When
we went to bed last night it didn’t take long to get comfortable
and fall asleep. Part of the reason was that it had started Raining
minutes before so the sound lulled us into a very relaxed mood. The
Rain continued throughout the night but started coming down
harder by 7:00 creating a natural alarm clock for me. For Kathy the
sound just made her more relaxed as she slept a little longer.
Due
to so much Humidity in the air the moment I got downstairs I
had to light our Blue Flame Heater in order to take the chill
out of the Trailer. I immediately turned on my Computer to
check The Weather Network for our
area. It was no surprise to see 41 F (5 C) feeling like
34 F (1 C) because of the Northeast Wind.
After
having a Muffin for breakfast we took our Coffee/Tea to
the Computers. With the Rain coming down harder we
weren’t bashful about getting caught up on the reading we missed
yesterday. Since our Heater was on its lowest setting yet it
never shut down by noon we had each had Three Cups of warm
beverages in an attempt to shake that chill.
For
lunch we had a piping hot bowl of Creamy Chicken Soup to
continue the warming process but we also had a couple of Cookies
to go with the Strawberry covered Yogurt to fill us
up.
I
was just about finished with that when Kathy got a call from our
Dentist’s Office. Due to her Diabetes she has to take
Two Antibiotic Tablets prior to every time she has any Dental
Work done as a precaution against any infections. They verified
where our Pharmacy was and would be immediately sending them
the Prescription.
Still slightly Raining. |
Since
we haven’t used the Truck since we moved to our Seasonal
Site we took it our to Amherstburg
to exercise it. Kathy had a couple of questions for the Pharmacist
before we headed back Home.
As
soon as we walked in the Door I relit our Blue Flame Heater
because we never leave it on while we are away. Our outside
temperature only reached a high of 46 F (8 C) today.
Kathy immediately started making some Belgium Waffles with
Blackberries and Cool-Whip for supper along with
another cup of Coffee.
To
pass the time we watched the movie “Fury” starring Brad
Pit as a Tank Sargent near the end of WWII. The movie
was fast past as far as the series of events that kept you on the
edge of your seat. In order to make this movie all the actors were
given Military Training. Taught how to operate a Tank
and got to meet actual veterans that served in the Armoured
Divisions during WWII to hear of their experiences in
battle. We both gave it Two Thumbs Up.
If
you thought that we were busy in yesterday’s Blog
wait until you read what we do tomorrow. Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteSo much rain you are having. I hope it stops soon!!
ReplyDeleteFury is a good movie and showed how overwhelming the Tiger tank was, as well as its one weak spot.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you are experiencing such bad weather. I do not want your rain but I would love your cooler temperatures.
ReplyDeleteNot sure that I could stay awake to watch a movie after dinner. I usually fall asleep.
