She Can Hear Me Now, Refunds and Busy Day.

Our Location today is at Wildwood Golf and RV Park, McGregor, Ontario.

We were up shortly before 8:00 this morning to the same kind of temperatures as yesterday 41 F (5 C) feeling like 34 F (1 C) but with lower Wind speeds it seemed to feel more comfortable. Breakfast was a Muffin along with our Coffee/Tea and the only thing we checked on the Computers was The Weather Network.

After doing our morning chores we were out the door shortly after 9:00 headed for Windsor. We actually wrote a list of stops that we needed to make today in the order they needed to be made so that we wouldn’t miss anything or waste too much time.

With a quarter tank of Gasoline in the Escape it really wasn’t necessary but we stopped at the Pioneer gas station on Walker Road and topped it up. When I went in to settle the bill I saved another $14.00 off the pump price by using the Accumulated Points.

Our next stop was Guardian Storage where we collected our Mail.
We then headed over to the Motor City Community Credit Union to get some change so that we’ll be able to do our laundry.

We accomplished all that a little quicker then we expected and had planned on having lunch before our afternoon appointment. Since it was still early we decided to have another breakfast. Instead of the typical Fast-Food we went to A&W on Tecumseh Road. We each had a Bacon, Eggs, Toast and Home Fries served on real Plates with real Silverware with our Coffees served in real Cups. We took our time and totally enjoyed our meal.
It was still too early for our appointment so we went to walk around the nearby Walmart. We went looking for certain items they did not have but found a few things we had planned on getting at a later date.
With it being Noon we drove to the Home Hardware Building Center on Lesperance Road in Tecumseh. We have searched lots of retail outlets unsuccessfully for a certain Wood Treatment that Kathy has been using inside our Home so this was the last place in our area to look.

Last Fall before we headed south we had noticed Construction going on at this location. That Construction continued throughout this past Winter. Even though it is not finished yet when we walked in today the store is now half the size of a Home Depot. Guess they realized that if you are going to compete with the Big Box Stores you have to go big. One thing they have always carried that Home Depot doesn’t carry is Small Appliances and Cookware.

We didn’t find exactly what Kathy was looking for but we found a good alternative.
We drove across the road to Hearing Life and sat in the Car for a bit. Kathy had to take the Antibiotics that we picked up yesterday as a precautionary measure for her Dentist Appointment later today. We were early for our appointment so we had the chance to chat with a 90 Year Old woman who thought that it was time to try a hearing aid.

When Brandy had Kathy come in I suddenly remembered leaving a Form we needed in the Car. By the time I returned with it Brandy was already explaining to Kathy the Care and Operation of her Hearing Aides. Kathy had suffered damage to her Right Eardrum as a child that has made it difficult for her to properly hear conversations. Since they are totally covered by our Health Care Provider it makes it much easier for her to get them.

We left Hearing Life in Tecumseh at 2:00 and arrived Home in McGregor by 2:25. We both needed to brush and floss our teeth before heading to River Town Dental in Amherstburg for our 3:00 appointments. We both had our Teeth cleaned and we discussed other things that need to be done. We both have another appointment made in June.

It was just after 4:00 when we left and decided since we’d had our Brunch at 10:30 it was time to have supper. McDonald’s was packed as they were having their yearly McHappy Day which helps to fund the Ronald McDonald House where Parents can stay at no charge when their Children have to be hospitalized away from their hometowns.

Since we couldn’t get in the parking lot we went to Soup and Salad for supper. We each enjoyed a bowl of their Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup and a Soft Drink plus we shared a Greek Chicken Salad Wrap. We cannot eat one of those Wraps by ourselves because they are that Big. The best part was that the Price including the Tip it was far less then we would have spent at McDonald’s.

It was only after 4:30 so we decided to stop at Canadian Tire. We wanted to walk around for a bit. Since there were a lot of people in line at the Service Desk I waited until everyone had been taken care of before approaching. Kathy continued walking not knowing that I wasn’t behind her. If you recall we had purchased a replacement Canvas Cover for our Gazebo that did not fit. Somehow we misplaced the Receipt so I inquired if there was still a way to return it. Since I had used our Credit Union Debit Card to pay it was all in the Computer we were able to get a full refund back to our account without the Receipt.
It was only 5:00 so we went to Dollarama to do some more walking. With their Low Prices and Good Quality Merchandise we walked out with a few more things.
We then drove over to our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s around 5:30 for our weekly visit. We always have a wonderful visit but with all the running around we did today we headed for Home shortly after 7:00.
The Wind had increased this afternoon but tonight it is once again battering our Trailer. After making Fourteen Stops today we’ll have no problem sleeping tonight and we are busy again tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  5. Talk about us being busy, that was a crazy day for you two! But you sure got some things done! Congrats to her on the hearing aids, nothing is covered on our insurance and even Medicare doesn't cover from I could tell. Nice benefit for you! Love that A and W has real dishes and cutlery..I haven't been in one in years, so don't know if in the US it's like that. Enjoy your day you two!
