Due to having Raynaud’s Disease in my extremities I normally have to wear Socks to bed because as soon as I lay down my feet are Freezing Cold. With the warmer temperatures we had yesterday we were supposed to have moderate temperatures throughout the night so I tried going to bed without my Socks. Imagine having your feet frozen in Ice. I just lay there wide awake finally getting up an Hour later to put my Socks on. The next thing I knew it was 7:30 and time to get up.

I had barely started my morning reading when Kathy came downstairs for breakfast and she didn’t even have to lower the Window Shades because the Sun was hidden behind the Clouds. We enjoyed our Coffee/Tea at the Computers but we couldn’t stay there too long because Mary from Healthy Heals was coming to take care of Kathy’s feet.

After finishing my inside chores I brought the Truck over to the Overflow Parking so Mary could park on our Site. Because this is Victoria Day Weekend in Canada it is considered the unofficial start to the Summer Camping Season there was only One Spot remaining but I squeezed the Truck in.
Cloudy Sky.
Once back at the Trailer I took the time to dump and rinse all of our Waste Tanks. While doing that I could hear our entrance Door opening and closing but just figured that Kathy had put trash out for me to get rid of. As soon as I opened the Door Kathy told me that Mary had just called to cancel because she had just gotten word that her Mother had fallen and was being taken to the Emergency. Since she has Power-of-Attorney if something happens to her mother she had to go to the Hospital. She will call back later to reschedule Kathy’s appointment. We’ll be keeping her mother in our prayers. I brought the Truck back to our Site for safe keeping.
After I made a few phone calls we chose to have lunch slightly early so we could go Grocery Shopping. Trying to clean some things up we had some Chicken Noodle Soup along with a couple of Cookies each and the last Two Oranges in the Fridge. As soon as we finished eating we were on our way out the door with our Shopping List in hand.

Kathy had suggested we go to Walmart in Amherstburg but as we got closer I assured her we could save more money and have a better variety at the No-Frills grocery store. We were there for nearly an Hour but we got everything on our List cheaper then at Walmart.
From there we headed over to Dollar Tree to look for something. As we walked in the Door there was a counter with a sign saying “Today’s Special”. Would you believe that was exactly what we had gone there for.

We did end up looking at Walmart’s Seasonal Plants Section but since we weren’t certain about the type of Plant we wanted so we left empty handed.
Kathy suggested we go to McDonald’s for one of their Blueberry/Pomegranate Smoothies. A Healthy Snack that is lower in Calories then an Ice Cream Cone. It help quench our thirst and fill our empty stomachs.

Back at the Park there was a line of RVs waiting to register. At Home after unloading the Car we were busy putting away our groceries. We then had a few minutes to sit and relax before making supper.
One of the things we got at the No-Frills grocery store was a package of Precooked Pulled Pork. Kathy likes to try different things like this so if ever we need a quick meal that would work. It was simple to do in the Microwave and within minutes supper was served. She also cleaned up the last of the Macaroni Salad as a side. It tasted great and was just right on open-faced Hamburger Buns.

We watched an interesting movie this evening called “Fireproof” starring Kirk Cameron and Erin Bethea. We also learned to look at the Special Features and on this video it was as enlightening as the movie itself. We enjoyed it and we are sure that you will also.

In answer to a question about our Climate Controlled Storage Unit it is kept at 68 F (20 C) year round which stops furniture and other items from being affected by extreme temperature differences. It is an Automatic System similar to what most houses are being equipped with today. Since this area got high Humidex days of 112 F quite often last summer or the many -20 F of this past winter it is a worthwhile feature.

We’ll be busy tomorrow. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  4. I am so sorry for Mary's mother's fall. Having an elderly mother I know how debilitating those falls can be, hope she gets well soon.

Thank you for answering my question, I truly appreciate it.
