As
soon as I got up at 7:30 the first thing I did was to turn on our
Blue Flame Heater to take the Chill out of the Trailer.
It must have been due to the higher Humidity because the Sun
was already busy charging our Batteries along with the slight
Northerly Wind. After opening our Window Shades I could
see that the overnight wind had again moved the Camping Chair
that no longer closes back towards the Firepit. We have plenty
of Firewood so this has to be a Sign to use it up.
Kathy
was up shortly after 8:00 and while we ate breakfast we watched as
the Clouds started filling the Sky. We enjoyed our
Coffee/Tea at the Computers. Many of the Canadian
RV Blogs we have been
reading have many of our fellow Ontarians
slowly making their way East while watching the Storms
that are around them. That was when we realized that we had not yet
thought of which way we would be going when we leave Quartzsite
in the next Two and a Half Weeks. We also realized that
because of the unusual weather for this time of year that we haven’t
gotten a lot of our Projects completed yet.
After
completing our inside chores we created our own version of French
Onion Soup were we used Crackers as a base and used a mix
of Two different Shredded Cheeses. We buttered up some
Jalapeno Bread to have as a side but Kathy opted to give me
all the Peppers from her slice.
With
the North Wind causing our Propane Alarm to go off
again we ended up boiling the Water on the Stove so we
could clean up our dishes. With that out of the way we brought out
the Maps and charted an approximate course that we’ll be
ourselves travelling as we head east. Using that as guide we started
researching things to see and distances between our stops. Every year
we say we are going to shorten our travel days so that is what we are
trying to do. Of course all that can change in the blink of an eye
all depending on the Weather.
After
spending most of the afternoon doing that we grilled a Store
Bought Thin Crust Barbecue Chicken Pizza on the Weber.
With the Wind coming from the Roadside of the Trailer
it only took Twenty-Five Minutes for it to
be perfectly cooked from Frozen.
It
was amazing the way the Sun
put
on quite a show as it set because of the Clouds.
The
Wind
seemed to calm down shortly
after it got dark.
Thank
you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be
Safe and Enjoy!
It’s
about time.
Krackers
You
know your getting old when
you've
seen it all,
done
it all,
can't
remember most of it.
Beautiful sunset! Your French onion soup looked yummy too!
ReplyDeleteIt's still windy here ... it was so crazy yesterday I never went outside!!
ReplyDeleteIt is March and I agree that if you hadn't started to plan your route, 'It's About Time'. :)
ReplyDeleteWe know things can change even though we are ones (the 4 of us) like to have things mapped out with definite destinations in mind. A slow trek for the remainder of our route will have us in Ontario on Apr. 6.
Soup and pizza both looked good. Hope the weather cooperates for your last 2 1/2 weeks.
You can make all the plans to see and travel as you want, but sometimes the weather throws it all out the window and you have to adjust to it.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping the wind is over or at least calms down. Hope the weather cooperates with your travel plans to head home.
ReplyDeleteBoth your onion soup as well as pizza look delicious. I like your saying of the day. Beautiful sunset picture.
