Getting up at 7:30 in the morning when you really don’t have anything planned just makes no sense but if you just can’t sleep anymore you might as well start your day.
After doing my usual morning routine I was busy reading other’s Blogs when Kathy came downstairs. Looking out the window as we ate we noticed more RVs moving on to their next adventure.
I was outside shortly after 10:30 with a definite goal in mind. Last year we twice ordered Backup Camera Systems for our Trailer while here in the Arizona and twice they were delivered after we had finally moved on. Towards the end of last summer while still at Wildwood in Ontario we ordered One that arrived within days but there was never any time to install it. Today was going to be that day.
Checking the most optimum location I had to remove the Tandem Bicycle off the Carrier on the rear of our Trailer. After doing extra measuring I was surprised that the Clearance Lamp Cluster was not even centered on the rear of the Trailer. The only reasonable way to mount the Camera would be to build an Elevated Platform on the Roof. By the time I located the Dicor, Wire Taps and Tools then cut the materials Kathy was already calling me for lunch.
After washing my Hands Kathy had me peeling the second Grilled Potato from the other day to make Potato Salad with it while she was busy making Grilled Chicken and Pork Wraps. They all tasted wonderful and she used up lots of Leftovers from our Fridge.
Ken who is pulling out in the morning stopped by to asked if we’d mind just keeping an eye on his site. He wanted to Dump and Fill his Tanks along with taking on Gasoline before hooking up to his Towed. He had left a few things out next to his Car and didn’t want them disappearing which has happened more this winter then past years. No Problem what are Friends for.

By 12:30 it was already 84 F (29 C) and I was on the Roof mounting the Camera Platform making certain there was enough Dicor to prevent any leaks. Unfortunately once the tube of Dicor started flowing it did not want to stop. We’ll never have to worry about any Leaks but my hands were covered with that stuff. I spent close to a Half Hour just cleaning up but made certain to dump that water down the Toilette and not the sink.
This is Maggie.
It was warm enough inside the Trailer that Kathy went outside to read in the shade. While she did that I continued connecting the Camera to a Power Source. It will be set up as a Rear Monitor so it will be on as soon as the Driving Lights are switched on.
This is Moose.
Wayne came over around 4:00 to talk. He and Sue have been slowly packing things away getting ready for their departure on Wednesday. At 5:00 Wayne headed home while Kathy went in to make supper. I busied myself putting things away and setting things up for tonight’s Campfire.
Kathy made us Chicken Noodle Soup along with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for supper and Fruit Cups for dessert. We worked together doing the Dishes before checking E-Mail on the Computers.
We headed outside at 6:30 and still managed to get some nice Sunset Pictures before starting the Fire. Wayne and Sue came over bringing their puppies along. The Dogs seemed scared of the Fire tonight even though they had no problem the other night. We could see Ken sitting outside his RV having a Cigarette so that he is not smoking near us because the rest of us don’t smoke. We all appreciated that. Thanks Ken!
While Kathy and Sue were talking about the Dogs, Ken was telling Wayne and I about some of the jobs that he was on when he lived in New York City. Everyone was keeping an eye out for the visitor we had the other night.
(L-R) Kathy, Sue, Ken and Wayne.
With plans to be on the Road tomorrow morning Ken said he was calling it a night at 9:30. We all said our “Safe Travels and see you down the Roads” to Ken before he left. He again assured us that if his health allows him he’ll be back here this fall.
Sue brought the Dogs home to feed them while Wayne continued visiting with us. They said their Good Nights shortly after 10:00.

While I closed up outside Kathy closed all the Windows because the Temperature was 61 F (16 C) making us feel chilled. A Hot Coffee/Tea helped to get the chill out.

Not sure what we’ll be up to tomorrow as there are more things to do as well as errands to run before we leave on the weekend. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
