More Appointments, Getting A Turkey and Teaching RVing 101 To Our Kids.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

While opening the downstairs Window Shades this morning I saw one of our neighbourhood rabbits enjoying a good helping of Clover near the front of our Neighbour’s Street Rod

Kathy was up shortly after me this morning even though she didn’t fall asleep until nearly 3:00 in the morning. She just couldn’t shut her mind down thinking of a Hodge-Podge of things that she wanted to do.

As soon as we were finished breakfast we moved our Coffees over to the Computers to get as much of our reading in as possible. With our having an early afternoon appointment we were cramming to just get the necessities done before we left. We got our morning chores completed before sitting down and writing a list of things we would be doing later.

Our lunch today; we kept it simple and healthy by only having a Salad and Yogurt

We drove to our Dentist Office in Amherstburg for a 1:45 appointment time. We normally have later appointment times but none were available.  Being Retired gives us the flexibility we need for appointments. Kathy was taken first to replace a Crown that had worn off a tooth after Fifty plus Years of use. She was surprised that the procedure only took about Thirty Minutes to complete.
Trees are already changing Colours and loosing their leaves.
Sean our Dentist was surprised to see that I was his next patient. My lower front teeth had been wearing down over time to the point I was scared to lose them. With new technology in the medical field today Sean rebuilt the four teeth in less then Forty-Five Minutes. There was no drilling like I have had in the past. He only needed to rough up the teeth, add the compound, use a laser to bond everything together then buff it down to remove any sharp edges. Times have Changed.

We were driving away before 3:00 so we thought we’d walk around Walmart. The Canadian Thanksgiving always falls on the second Monday of October which is just over two weeks away. The first thing we did was go to the meat section to see if they had brought in any Turkeys yet. We were surprised that they not only had Turkeys in stock but they had a special on them as well. The Turkeys were wrapped in different coloured plastic covers each depicting different weight ranges. The large Turkey we chose was 17 Pounds and only cost a flat $20.00. We also picked up some toiletry supplies that we’ll need when heading south before we left the store.

Our next stop was at our son Kevin’s House to drop off the Turkey. They have room in their freezer to store it and they will cook it the morning of our Merry Thanksmas Celebration.

Our next stop was Dollarama where Kathy needed to pick a few more wrapping supplies.

It was past 4:00 by this time so we walked over to the Mealtime Diner to have supper. Their special for today was Perch in a Basket so that is what we had. We’ve written about eating there in the past. The Service is fast, the Prices reasonable and we have never been disappointed in the Taste or Quality of the food and today was no exception.

We needed to pass some time so we went over to Canadian Tire to walk around. We got the biggest kick out at seeing some of the decorations that are already out for Halloween

It was nearly 6:00 when we arrived at Kevin and Melissa’s for our weekly visit. We had a lot more to talk about tonight then usual. Since they have just purchased their very first Travel Trailer they were picking our brains on how to do different things such as dumping tanks and winterizing. A visit with them always includes lots of laughter and we had plenty to laugh about tonight.

Tomorrow we have more errands and an appointment to take care of but hopefully we have time to get something accomplished on our To-Do List. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
