Getting Things Done.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

We were both feeling so chilled before going to bed last night that we had to cycle the furnace just to take the dampness out of the air. When I got up before 7:30 this morning it was 43 F (6 C) but I waited until Kathy finally woke up before again cycling the furnace to take the dampness out of the air.

We enjoyed our Coffee/Tea while at the Computers catching up on all the Blogs we follow. We also re-examined the direction we’ll be traveling when we head for the Southwest in another month. Only planning the route but not making reservations with any RV Parks has truly changed the way we are traveling. Being able to be self-contained and capable of producing our own electrical power has definitely expanded those abilities.
Perogies with Sour Cream and Shredded Cheese.
Kathy made Perogies for lunch while I cleaned up the last of the Clementine Oranges for dessert. She wanted something just filling enough to give us our energy but not too much to weigh us down.

Kathy likes to learn things and didn’t realize that our truck has Two Batteries under the hood. Even that didn’t help when you use Battery Power to start the Diesel Engine but don’t run it long enough to recharge the Batteries. I deliberately left the Battery-Charger on overnight to guaranty it would be fully charged today. Seeing it firsthand gave Kathy a better understanding of how it all worked.

Once the truck was started I put the Battery-Charger and Extension Cord away before driving over to the Park’s Maintenance Building where the Composting Bin is located. After emptying the plastic waste bags my next stop was the Park’s Trash and Recycle Area over by the Clubhouse. I never shut the truck off until it was parked back in its spot on our site. By leaving it run even while I was unloading everything should have recharged the batteries. I’ll know for certain if that was the problem when we want to go to town the next time.

As soon as I got back Home I realized that I had to mow the grass again. It was only five days ago when it was last mowed. Since the temperature has cooled down it seems like the grass is growing even faster. It didn’t take long to get it done using our Electric Lawnmower.

Kathy had been busy herself vacuuming the inside of the trailer. Even though we take our shoes off just inside the door it is amazing how much dust accumulates inside in a week.

After a brief rest I was back outside adding Vitamin Spikes to a few of our Cedar Trees. We are not sure whether the warm temperatures was stressing the Trees or they have a bug. By hammering these Spikes in the ground near the roots they will have a better chance of surviving the upcoming winter.
Grilled Chicken with Sour Cream and Chive Noodles with Suateed Veggies.
Kathy found an On-Line Recipe for Homemade Lava Cake so she was busy putting that together while I finely chopped some Vegetables that she would later sautee. It took all of One Minute to cook the Two Lava Cakes in the Micro-Wave. Kathy also made a Sour Cream and Chive Noodle Dish as a side to go with the Boneless Chicken Breasts that I grilled on the Weber. Everything tasted wonderful and there are some leftovers for another meal. Even the Lava Cake recipe is a keeper.
Homemade Lava Cake.
Strange how earlier this week we were experiencing Humidex readings above the Century Mark. Today our high was only 61 F (16 C). With the temperature dropping to 41 F (5 C) tonight we are leaving the Bedcover on to keep us toasty warm. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
