Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
When we watched the Local News last night the Weather Guessers said that our low for
the night would only be 50 F (10 C) but when I turned my Computer on just before 9:00 The Weather
Network was showing the temp at 43 F (6 C). I’m wondering what it would have read if the sun had not
already been up for nearly two hours.
After having our breakfast
we brought our coffees over to the Computers where we got caught up on our
reading as well the News about Hurricane Irma and Jose which seems to be following in Irma’s track. We can only pray
for anyone affected by theses storms. Luckily Hurricane Katia has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm.
We managed to get a number
of things accomplished this morning including producing lists of all Medication and Vitamins that we are both taking. It seems that when you see new
doctors they want to know more then just Prescribed
Medications these days because even Vitamins
can change the results of tests and surgeries. Both Kathy and I are having
issues with Cataracts at this time
and these lists are part of our initial visit.
While I put those together Kathy
recreated some Leftovers in the
fridge and transformed them into lunch. She created a Meat Sauce with Parmesan
Cheese over Egg Noodles and
topped it off with a serving of Applesauce
for dessert. By using Egg Noodles as
the form of Pasta she reduced our Carb intake but it still helped give us
the needed energy we needed.
As soon as the dishes were washed
and put away Kathy started wrapping the Christmas Gifts we
brought back from our Storage Unit.
Using lists of who the gifts were for she managed to get quite a few things wrapped.
My job included making the Name Tags for the Gift Bags that we’ll be giving out at what we are now calling our
Merry Thanksmas.
Our daughter actually came up with that name last year because we were giving
out our Christmas
Gifts on the day we were celebrating
our Canadian Thanksgiving since we’ll
be in the Southwest on Christmas Day. I also had the chore of packing the
Gift Bags while Kathy continued wrapping more Gifts.
Kathy also reminded me to
make a special Name Tag for a Special Birthday that takes place while
we are away. The recipient always looks forward to the gifts we give them.
The pile of Christmas Gifts is growing. |
Kathy was starting to feel
overwhelmed by her task so she took a break and got other entries put into her Computer. I went outside and used the Electric Lawnmower that I recently purchased
to cut our grass. It did a better job on our thick grass then what our Mower/Trimmer could do because it could
lift the thick grass for a neater job. I still used the Trimmer to neatly edge
our grass.

I completed the creation
the Hose for our Macerator Pump that we’ll use with our
new Waste Barrel. I installed a Shutoff Valve at each end so that the
odor would be contained and on someone’s recommendation a section of Clear Hose as a means of monitoring the
flow was added.
Just as I was about to go
inside Kathy handed me a package of Spare
Ribs to grill on our Weber Q for
supper while she created a Spinach Salad
with Feta Cheese and some Baked Beans for sides. Everything
turned out great and tasted Wonderful.
While we were watching the 6 o’clock Local News our neighbour
Angela came over to Thank Kathy and I
for helping her husband Stan when he lost his balance and fell outside their
trailer the other night. She also appreciated that I convinced him to go to the
Emergency
something she could not do. After a barrage of X-rays on his Leg, Hip and Back there were no fractures found. He was very lucky to have
sustained only a bad bruising but lots of pain to go with it.
Tomorrow is another day and
while Kathy gets things done inside I’ll try to get things accomplished
outside. We have a lot to get done in less then Eight Weeks. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe
and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
Krackers
Ask a silly question:
If cops arrest a mime,
do they tell him he has the right to remain silent?
Merry Thanksmas, that's pretty funny :-)
ReplyDeleteChristmas? That's not for at least ten months, right???
