Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
Even though we had a solid
night of sleep the sound of Rain falling
on our roof again lulled us to sleep past 8:30 this morning. Did that sound
like a repeat of yesterday’s Blog?
You’re right! The only problem was that it was like the movie “Ground Hog Day” but for us it was all
about the Rain. We have had more
then twice our normal Rainfall in our area this year.
All we could see outside
the entire day was Rain. We did get
a laugh while we were having our breakfast when a group of Golfers were trying to play a round by wearing raincoats and holding
Umbrellas over one another’s Golf-Bags. Good thing there was no Lightning.
We managed to get our
reading done early this morning as well as a number of other things. We confirmed
our appointments for tomorrow with the Dentist
and I’d barely hung up the phone when Dan the Benefits Representative at the Local
also called. We made an appointment to discuss what appears to be a reduction
in our Pension. While speaking to
Dan I mentioned that we were Fulltiming
as a way to save money as well as to enjoy our travels. Dan and his wife have
been talking about doing just as we are doing when they retire in a few years.
They had heard about people becoming Fulltime
RVers but just didn’t know anyone personally. I directed him to our Blog and he plans on showing his wife
tonight. He said he might have questions for us when we see him on Thursday.
For lunch Kathy served us
both large servings of the Homemade
Chicken Noodle/Vegetable Soup that she made the other day. We each had four
meals from that one small chicken which is not bad. On larger chickens Kathy
has stretched it out to seven meals. Soup
Manufactures label some soups as a meal in a can. They are far from that
but Kathy’s soup truly qualifies as a Meal
in a Bowl.
This afternoon after we’d
cleaned up the dishes Kathy went back Online
to see what path Maria a Category 5
Hurricane will be following. The early projections are showing that it
could follow the same path as Irma
or veer north before reaching Florida and head up along the east coast without
making Landfall. We are hoping for
the later.
I spent the afternoon
monitoring the continuing Rain we
were getting at the park. This Rain was
by far less intense then we had when the Golf
Couse was flooded in the last week of
August but there was still enough water coming down to make the adjacent Farmer’s Field look like a small lake.
Another thing I spent the
afternoon doing was writing up a summation of concerns that will be forwarded
to Jayco.
We are letting them know that they will be fixing all our problems properly and
not just superficially.
For our supper tonight we
finished the last of the Pepper Steak
we also made the other day along with Cooked Apples for dessert. Our fridge is
definitely starting to look Empty. The Weather
Guessers on the 6 o’clock Local News
are saying we can expect the Rain to
finally stop by noon tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe
and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Wow .. that's a lot of water. Not quite as bad here on the west coast, but I'm expecting rain for the rest of my trip home!!
ReplyDeleteMore Canadian Full-timers! Yay! Sure hope they join us.
ReplyDeleteWe have to agree, hope Hurricane Maria turns north and does not make landfall.
ReplyDeleteKathy's homemade soup looks delicious.
We are having lots and lots of rain out here in Montana also but that's a good thing for all the fires we've had. I made hamburger soup for us. Love it on these chilly rainy days.
