Doctor’s Appointment, Gathering Things We Need and More Cold Weather.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

There is no crueler way of breaking up a cozy night’s sleep under those warm blankets then having the alarm going off for 8:00 in the morning. To avoid that happening when I woke up at 7:53 I simply got up and shut the alarm off thus saving Kathy from going through that trauma. I had all the Window Shades raised and breakfast ready before turning on the furnace to take the dampness out of the air when I gently began waking her at 8:07. Her reaction was that she hadn’t heard the alarm. The only thing checked on the Computer before we walked out the door was the weather forecast which showed an outdoor temperature of 45 F (7 C).

It seems that in order for RVers to be able to travel anywhere they have to schedule a number of Doctors Appointments and today was one of those Appointments. By 9:00 we were on our way to Windsor for my Yearly Physical. Our ride took us directly past Kathy’s Family Doctor’s Office so we pulled in. The reason is that Kathy needs to take these Special Vitamins in order to stop her Bone Density from diminishing and those Vitamins are only available through her office. Even though many have said that is a Conflict of Interest as long as it is keeping Kathy healthy that is all that matters.

We arrived at my Family Doctor’s Office with plenty of time to spare. In order to avoid sneezing and coughing patients Kathy walks around the nearby I.D.A Drugstore instead of coming with me. With her Low Immune System, I don’t blame her as a fact I encourage her to stay away from those conditions. With my early arrival George was able to see me early. After giving me a thorough examination he sent me off with a Prescription for Antibiotics knowing that I would only use them if all other forms of Over-the-Counter Medications would fail to make me better.

There had been some recent changes made to our Pension so we next stopped at the Local to have it examined. Having gone there without an appointment it didn’t phase me when I was told the Benefit Rep wouldn’t be in until Monday but all the necessary information was copied for him to examine.
Nearly clear skies this morning.
Our next stop was Guardian Storage where after finding out the Mail was running late this week due to the Labour Day Holiday we went to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Since our time before we head south is growing shorter it is time to get a number of things completed. Today we collected all the Christmas Gifts that we had stored there since the middle of summer. By bringing them Home Kathy will be able to Wrap and Label them for the persons they were purchased for. Since we will be Celebrating Christmas with our family at the same time as our Canadian Thanksgiving that leaves only five weeks to have them all wrapped.

We then drove over to Green Shield to drop off the Claim Form from Kathy’s foot care from Healthy Heals. We should have our refund by next weekend.
Shortly after lunch the skies looked like this.
It was getting close to lunch so we went to Wendy’s where we ordered off their Value Menu. Ordering their Chicken Wraps helped keep the Carbs down while we have the benefit of a balanced meal.

We still had time to wonder around before going back for our Mail so we drove over to the Tecumseh Mall. We were looking for something that was taken off their shelves until next summer. Since this is still summer why take it off the shelves already. We did pick up a few things that we needed even though we hadn’t added them to our list.

It was past 3:00 when we finally got our Mail at Guardian Storage and it wasn’t what we have been waiting for.

It was nearly 4:00 when we got Home but it took nearly ten minutes to unload the car. We even had to open windows in the trailer to cool it down inside but before 5:00 we had to close them because a Cold North Wind started blowing. We only reached a high of 64 F (18 C) this afternoon but it felt cooler. That sounds like a Windchill to me.
Just before we got Home.
Feeling tired and overwhelmed from our day we decided to go to the 19th Hole Restaurant for supper. We both ordered their Half Order of Perch with Onion Rings for our meal.

We managed to be Home to watch the 6 o’clock Local News. The Weather Guessers are showing more Unseasonably Cold Temperatures and Rain for our area. They also are showing how Hurricane Irma tracking straight up through the middle of Florida and Hurricane Jose seems to be following an identical track. We’ll be praying for all those being affected by these storms.

There are still plenty of Doctors Appointments before we leave but tomorrow we both have chores that we have to get busy taking care of. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
