Cold Windy Day, Doing Research and Laundry.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Even with the Windows closed and our Bedcover left on last night the 45 F (17 C) temperature had me continually waking up. The fact that every time I’m exposed to cold temperatures my Raynaud’s Disease kicks in didn’t help. Kathy has learned to keep her arms covered when it’s cold so she was toasty warm. She was so comfortable that I had to let our Whistling Water Kettle wake her this morning.
Why does the Sky look brighter then it was?
When she came downstairs for breakfast she was just as surprised as I had been to see the water puddles left behind by the Rainstorm that went through our area overnight. The sky was so filled with dark Clouds it looked more like the Sun was setting rather then it being morning. Looking out at the Golf Course those that were out were not just wearing Long Pants but Jackets as well. With the North Winds gust as high as 26 MPH this morning we both had two cups of Coffee/Tea in an attempt to warm ourselves up from the inside.
Pepper Steak on Rice.
After completing our morning reading and chores it was already time to start making lunch so Kathy looked at what needed to be finished in the fridge before it went to waste. That is something both of us try to avoid letting happen because that’s the same as throwing your money away. We enjoyed the last of the Pepper Steak we made the other day and it tasted as good as the when it was made.

After lunch we gathered the trash that I planned on dropping off at the Park Trash and Recycle Area. With more then a week’s worth of accumulation it was also time for me to do the Laundry. Once it was sorted I loaded the trash in the back of the truck and the laundry in the front seat. Imagine my surprise when the truck would not start. After a few more attempts I knew the Battery needed to be charged. Last Friday I had driven the truck to the Overflow Parking Area then back Home. Neither of those drives were long enough to begin recharging the battery. The truck sat for the rest of the week unused so it had good reason not to work.

I used the car to go to the Park Laundry Room where had no problem getting things started. I walked back Home and set the Battery Charger on the truck. From the Meter on the Charger the Battery was really down. Letting Kathy know the truck was being charged I found that she had gone back to researching our route to the southwest and places we’ll be stopping at.
Breakfast for Supper.
It was nearly 5:00 by the time I returned Home for the final time with all the Laundry folded. Kathy decided she would start making supper while I started putting our clothes away. Wanting something different she made Bacon and Eggs with Toast along with a Clementine Orange for dessert.

According to the Weather Guessers on the 6 o’clock Local News we actually hit 70 F (21 C) today but if you were outside that North Wind chilled you to the bone. What we are doing tomorrow we are not sure at this time. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
