Making Wraps, Data Entries and Remounting Our Bicycle Carrier.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Even after going to bed late last night we were both up within minutes of one another around 8:00 this morning. We had breakfast and were soon having our double Coffees while reading at our Computers.

Today was a catch-up day as many of the Blogs that we follow haven’t done so in a while. When I checked the dates of their last posting it was on days when I could only spend the briefest time on the Computer

Attempting to change our eating habits we worked together at making wraps. Kathy mixed the Salad Mixture while I chopped the strips of Bacon and cubed the Havarti Cheese. After getting as much as possible in the wraps themselves we each still had a small dish of Salad as a side along with a dish of Strawberry covered Yogurt for dessert.. These are low in Calories and Carbs but high in Protein which gives us enough energy to make it through the day.

After lunch Kathy busied herself organizing receipts from all the purchases such as Food, Groceries, Necessities and Gifts before making Data Entries on our Expenditure Spreadsheet. For anyone that is on a limited or set income that is something they should do as well because it helps to stop overspending.
The neighbourhood Rabbit have more Clover today.
Since it has been over a week I needed to dump our Waste Tanks this afternoon. I still use the technique that we use when dry camping in the desert. By dumping the Black Tank first then using the Kitchen Grey Tank that is mounted higher in the frame to Backflush the Black Tank. Since the Grey Water is Waste anyways it gets repurposed and helps to clean away any buildup in the Black Tank. The process is repeated until all the Grey Water Has been used.

My next task was to run the Taps and Dies on the Stainless-Steel Nuts and Bolts that were used on our Bicycle Carrier. In all the years in Industry I have never had Stainless Fasteners scale up on the threads like these did being exposed to Road Grime. It was surprising to see the scaling on the Picnic Table after I had cleaned those pieces up and how much easier it was to connect them together.
I don't watch you when you're eating.
With the outside Humidex reaching 100 F (38 C) this afternoon I took a short break inside to cool off and to get more water. I also had to make an adjustment on the Excel program for Kathy. Once in a while one of the Functions in a cell decides it wants to do something different then it was programmed to do so it’s a quick fix.

While Kathy continued making the entries I started reinstalling the mounting brackets for the Bicycle Carrier on the rear Bumper. This allowed me to better see what kind of modification will need to be made to carry our new Tandem Bicycle that does not fold like the one that got damaged last winter.
We each had a half of the Acorn Squash
and shared the Spare Ribs as well.
Even though I was keeping Hydrated it just seemed I was getting disoriented by the heat so I called it a day after 4:30. Inside Kathy had gotten things out of the Fridge and Freezer for supper but had me wait until after 5:00 to start grilling them. For supper we had Spare Ribs along with an Acorn Squash.

With the time before we head south for the winter slowly disappearing we’ll see what we can do tomorrow at getting ourselves ready. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. You've got to take it easy and drink plenty of water with a temperature that high.
