Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
With Colder night time Temperatures
and our Warm Bedcover pulled up to
our necks it wasn’t hard to sleep in this morning. As soon as you walked in to
the living area of the trailer your body was jolted awake by the temperature
difference.
As soon as we’d finished
eating our breakfast we brought our Coffees
over to the Computers so we could do
our morning reading at the same time. Looking at our Local Weather it looks like we are already into Fall Weather with our daytime temps being in the Mid-Sixties to Low-Seventies with lots of Rain
thrown in for good measure.
Looking at the International Weather Forecast Hurricane Irma
appears to be the most powerful Hurricane
in history heading towards Florida. To make matters worse there are two
more Hurricanes Jose and Katia presently making their way across
the Atlantic.
They are just strong enough to be called Hurricanes
at this present time but are expected to pick up strength in the next few days.
Just what the folks in the Southern and Atlantic States need at this
time.
Shortly after 10:00
Stephanie from Leisure
Trailer called to let us know
what is happening with Jayco about the repairs to our trailer. It
will be fixed at the Jayco Factory but
not until next spring. We will once again be out of our Home for about two weeks. What
we have to do is change our plans around. Instead of stopping on our way south we’ll
head back east earlier and have the repairs done at that time. We’ll have to
schedule the date of our arrival A.S.A.P.
because they are already booking repairs on RVs into next February. We’ll be staying in a Hotel not far from the factory
so as soon as our Home is repaired we’ll head back to Ontario.
For our deliberately served
late lunch Kathy made Salmon Sandwiches
to go with the Cole Slaw she had as
a side. We did that so we wouldn’t need any snacks this afternoon and after
cleaning up we were soon on our way to Amherstburg.
With a high of only 66 F (19 C) today we were just comfortable in the car without the A.C.
running. The heavy cloud covering was adding a chill to the air but at least
the Sun was keeping everything well
lit.
Today was our Yearly Dental Check up but Kathy had
additional work being done. She lost a crown a few months back and needed some
prep work done before. She mentioned that she had been feeling sensitivity to
cold and hot to the Dentist today. Taking
an X-ray of the tooth a cavity was
found so she also had a filling done as well. Besides a cleaning I did a
consult to have additional work done before we leave in November. We both
managed to get a follow-up appointment for the 20th of this
month.
By the time we were leaving
the School-Buses were out dropping
off their precious cargo. Instead of following them around we drove over to the
Shoppers Drug Mart where Kathy picked
up additional supplies she’ll need to bring with us and I managed to get almost
all of the remaining Vitamin Pills
we’ll need on our trip.
It was past 4:00 so we
headed over to McDonalds
for supper. With Kathy’s mouth still being numb from the freezing she had quite
the time just eating Chicken Nuggets.
I chose to have one of their new Angus
Beef Burgers.
We stopped at Canadian Tire and Dollarama just to look around and to waste
some time. Just before 6:00 we headed over to our son Kevin and daughter-in-law
Melissa’s house for our weekly visit. Melissa offered us warm drinks because of
the cooler temperature today and we appreciated it. We had lots to talk about
including their boys Cameron and Matthew being back in school, the sudden change
in the weather, the world tension with North Korea and
our trailer repairs. As usual we had a wonderful visit filled with laughter.
Thanks for following along and feel free
to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

September winds blow soft till the fruit's in the
loft.
It look's as though your weather is about like ours here in Tennessee.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what the calendar says it is fall. I am just glad we are dealing with hurricanes and fires. Though I am praying for those in the path to be safe.
ReplyDeleteHope they can fix your trailer faster than two weeks! Good grief, it didn't take that long to build it in the first place. :c(
