Planning 2014

Our Location today is Bushnell, Florida.

This morning when I got up the first thing I did was to see what the outdoor thermometer read. After rubbing the frost off the inside corner of the window it was visibly only 30F (-1C) outside. That would explain why the furnace had worked on and off throughout the night but we also had our little electric heater on and it never stopped at all. Once the sun had risen higher in the sky by 8:00 the temps rocketed to 41F (6C) until it finally reached the high of 64F (18C) later in the afternoon.
With breakfast finished and blog reading complete Kathy spent most of the morning researching more RV parks that we could stay at next winter when we return to Florida. Since there was no rush to head outside I was helping her in locating the areas of Florida that many of these parks are in by using the Mapquest on my computer as well as adding verbal input which helped to speed up the process.
Ham Sandwich, potato salad, dill pickle and Hawaiian Salad for dessert.
Once lunch was finished I sorted the laundry before heading over to the park laundry room. With the clothes out of the washer and into the dryers I took a walk back to the trailer to return the soap and fabric softener to kill a little time. Kathy informed me she already had reservations for next January and February confirmed and she was getting ready to start vacuuming the trailer. I headed back and it wasn’t long the dryers were finished and I had folding to complete.
Yesterday we had taken a walk partway down the road totaling about one and a half miles but with the cool temps and cold gusty breezes it added to the challenge for Kathy. Today we made it all the way to the highway and back making it about two miles round trip. The temperature was only a couple of degrees warmer but the fact there was no breeze made the walk more enjoyable.
Back at the trailer I needed to empty our grey water tank so Kathy sat outside enjoying the warmth of the sun’s rays. She even got me to massage her poor aching feet for her. Next after washing my hands it was time to grill a couple of hamburgers for supper while Kathy cooked up hashbrowns and put the fixings on the buns inside the trailer.

Hamburger and Hashbrowns
For the next week the temperatures for both day and night are supposed to be increasing slowly so we’ll be finding more adventures to keep ourselves busy with. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
