Tiring Day.

Our Location today is Mims, Florida.

Kathy and I both had a decent night’s sleep and we slept until 8:30 this morning. After a few minutes at the computers to finish waking up we had ourselves Strawberry covered Egos with whip cream on them. While enjoying our coffees we finalized our plans for the day.
Once breakfast was finished I immediately changed the bed linens and then started sorting the laundry. With that completed I headed over to the laundry room while Kathy started giving the trailer a good thorough cleaning. With all the pollen in the air lately we have both been suffering with allergies.

The kitchen also served as a lab for the early country doctors.

Pictures taken from our trip back in time.
With this park only having two washers and two dryers this was going to take a while considering we had five loads of laundry. Once the final load of wash was in I recounted the laundry money to discover I was going to be fifty cents short to dry the final load. While I had three machines going and part of the laundry folded I had to leave to go get more change.

Finally I returned to the trailer with everything folded around 2:30 looking forward to a very late lunch. Kathy had kept busy doing her chores but had finally eaten her lunch around 2:00 because of her diabetes she was starting to feel off balance.

The temperature managed to climb into the low 80F (27C) but by 3:00 the wind started cooling things down and the clouds started filling the sky. Checking the forecast right away they are showing a storm moving into the area overnight and through the day tomorrow. We then decided not to go out like originally planned but just sticking close to camp and resting for the rest of the day.

While talking to another camp resident today I found out that the bird making all the noise with the red feathered cap were Sandhill Cranes so I went back to yesterdays post and labeled the pictures.
The Sandhill Cranes we saw yesterday.
Just as we were about to have supper at 6:00 the Trac Phone rang and it was our daughter Karen letting us know they were back home safely. They had left their resort in St. Petersburg early yesterday morning but before they got past Tampa came to a standstill due to an accident on the highway. They traveled until they reached Knoxville, Tennessee last night. They again hit the road early this morning making it home in the early afternoon. She also said her grass was turning white and it wasn't white sand.

Because we pushed ourselves so much today we’ll watch the weather as to what we’ll be able to do tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Employee: I won't. I'm as ashamed of my salary as you are.

  3. Isn't it funny that the pollen always comes when you have the nicest weather, but can't open the windows because it's so messy?

Hope you get lots of relaxing time tomorrow.

  5. When we were in Florida at Christmas we were told that the Sandhill Crane had been renamed "pterodactyl" because of the awful noise they name. I think that name could stick.
