A Wandering Day.

Our Location today is Crystal River, Florida.

After laying awake in bed for what seemed like hours I finally got up to start the day before 7:00 this morning. It was almost another hour before Kathy joined me feeling chilled and with a stuffy nose. She tried just sloughing it off and made us a wonderful breakfast of pancakes covered with fresh Strawberries we picked up at a roadside vendor yesterday. With every bite all you could smell and taste was the flavor of the berries.
Strawberry covered Pancakes.
By the time we finished breakfast the breeze that had been blowing throughout the night changed to a hard hitting cold wind coming from the north. Stepping outside it almost felt like we were back in Ontario as it chilled us to the bone. With Kathy already coming down with a suspected cold the chores I need to complete outside can wait until the wind dies down tomorrow.
This little guy was hearing the sound of the camera and came to check it out.
Kathy was just feeling too dragged down from whatever is ailing her and needed to lay down for a Snap (Short Nap) this morning while I continued to play on the computer. After fifteen minutes she was up and feeling better. With it still feeling so chilly we had a nice warm bowl of chicken noodle soup which not only warmed us up but started making Kathy feel a little more alive.
Even though the temperature and wind were not co-operating the clear blue skies and sun were just too inviting to stay cooped up in the trailer all day. So we headed down the road to the right that we hadn’t seen before without the use of the GPS.
Highway 19 North Bound
We just kept traveling even after we knew where we were heading. Another twenty miles and we would have been back at Yellow Jacket RV Resort. We definitely plan on returning there but just not this year so we turned around until we took a road that said it was going to Inverness. After another half hour on this road we passed through a small town and came to a stop sign which just happened to be the road we had been on when we turned on that last road. The road had been one big loop.
Highway 19 South Bound
We continued beyond the road that would have led to our camp until we reached Crystal River where we stopped at McDonald’s for a coffee and a snack. Heading in the direction of camp we deliberately drove by it and continued on to the town of Dunnellon to look around. Seeing the Walmart there we pulled in to pick up a few more supplies before finally heading back to the trailer.
We enjoyed the feel of just being on the road and traveling to no where in particular without any certain time to be there. The best part of this trip was we never turned the GPS on for the entire trip. That is how you know that you have been in an area for a while.
The End!
After being back home for a while and listening to the wind continuing to blow we had another bowl of chicken noodle soup for supper. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
